About this ebook
This is a collection of three science fiction short stories.
Robot Virus – Mabel was an excellent maid, but suddenly one morning, she stopped functioning. Lee Jim, her owner, reloaded some files into her and got her working again. Across the city, robots were breaking down and became a wide-spread epidemic across the city. Robots failed to recognize the simplest commands and became nonfunctional. Fires burned out of control since all the fireman were robots. The AP teachers stopped teaching the children and just sat in front of the classroom. Lee Jim was the systems security manager for I-TEC Robotics, Inc. and it was up to him to figure out how to combat this virus.
The Vengeance Robot – Since the invention of the Artificial Person (AP), many things had changed in society. However, violence against the weak was still happening. Susan stumbled onto a woman being severely beaten. She realizes that the man is her former husband that abused her when they were married. The police can't do anything about the victim's beating since she was actually an AP. After seeking help from her programmer boyfriend, Susan finds out that she may be able to get her vengeance.
Aliens Stealing Fat – What if a fat person could lose weight just by wearing a string of pretty beads? A woman found out when Boney approached her at Wal-Mart and offered to let her try the diet beads free for a week. The beads worked and she was soon losing a lot of weight. The beads only lasted a short time so the person needed to buy new ones weekly. Boney had a secret source for the beads so could keep selling them and was on the road to becoming rich.
