About this ebook
The Erotic Education of a Victorian Gentelman
Reformated for Electronic Readers with hand edits to correct errors.
Privately printed in England as a book depicting the life of an English Lord "a true history of his erotic life." BANNED in 30 countries.
Introduced to the delights of desire at a tender age. The experience is so tantalizing that he decides then and there to commit himself to a sensual expedition that will last the rest of his life. Being a gentleman of some wealth and privilege, his opportunities to explore the mysteries of sex are unlimited. As he passes from youth to young manhood, he progresses from the charms of school girls to the enticements of older women, especially those of the mothers and wives of his acquaintances.
As an adult, he moves beyond the more common pleasures to be had in the brothels of London to the sophisticated entertainments available only in Paris. On his way, he encounters a series of beautiful and memorable female partners until, at last, he can rightly consider himself a true lord among libertines.

Reviews for The Altar of Venus
5 ratings1 review
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is one of the many books purporting to describe the amorous beginnings and progress of an early twentieth-century English gentleman, beginning with his adolescent explorations with a governess and continuing through a wide range of encounters with willing young ladies intent on enjoying their libidinous instincts with the help of his sturdy male appendage. It is credibly written, and disjointed enough in its descriptions of the 'author's passage through life to be credible, even anatomically so, but it also contains all of the ingredients expected of an Edwardian era erotic book, including encounters with prostitutes, a period in Paris, and a cinematographically assisted orgy. There is a sensitively described relationship with a rather timid lady who left a weak husband. It is widely available in many editions, which testifies adequately to its enduring quality.
