      The Long Range Space Explorer had just returned to the solar system. The spacecraft was approaching Pluto, when suddenly —

      We’ve lost engines! cried the ship’s copilot.

      Prepare for emergency landing, said Captain Tully, the astronaut in command of the Long Range Explorer.

      Where? panicked the copilot. We’re still three trillion miles from Earth!
