1. Introduction
What would you say if I told you by the end of this book your memory will have improved beyond your wildest dreams – that with a little bit of effort you will be able to remember the list of the 20 largest cities in the US and that you would also be able to casually remember and recite a 20 digit number without as much as breaking sweat. Imagine what this could mean – from popping in to the store and getting everything on the shopping list, knowing where those car keys are through to sitting down once to revise for that exam and being confident that everything you want to remember will be written down on that exam paper come exam time. You might even start winning bets as that guy who can remember the order of a shuffled deck of cards and can correctly recite them backwards or become the most entertaining dinner party guest around! You might be excited by the prospect but maybe a little skeptical – I mean people just don’t go around remembering lists of the largest cities in America do they? Some people can, these are the ones you would probably say have a great memory

Allow me to use the techniques in this guide and I will happily recite the number backwards and forwards days afterwards. Having a great memory isn’t something you are born with, but rather something that you learn and practice until you’re good at it. When you
