Suzanne Hold flicked the brown curls that stuck to her forehead away from her face and dabbed first her forehead, then the nape of her neck with her handkerchief. With her free hand she held onto the handle of her carry-on bag, which she was pulling behind her as she strode toward the airport exit. Before she had boarded the plane, she had called the office to send a driver to pick her up, and when she walked outside through the double glass doors, her agency’s limousine was waiting for her.
The driver stepped out of the car and opened the door for her, giving her a view of long legs clad in black jeans.
She peeked inside and at the sight of her boyfriend’s beautiful oval face, with its straight nose and full mouth, her lips turned upwards on their own.
Chris returned her smile. Hi.
Hey.
She gave her bag to the driver and slipped into the car, on the seat across from him. Don’t you have a meeting, right now?
I rescheduled it.
I’m flattered, but was that really necessary?
The driver returned to the car and the vehicle began to move.
Yes.
Chris pressed a button on the remote control and the tinted glass slid up between them and the driver. He set the remote control into its compartment in the door before he leaned forward and his hand wrapped around hers. He tugged her closer. I missed you.
I was only gone for two days.
He tilted his head and pursed his lips in what appeared to be false annoyance. You were supposed to say ‘I missed you too.’
She smiled and framed his face with her hands. Which you know I did,
she said to him before she pressed a short kiss on his lips.
He widened his legs, and his hands wove around her arms as he tugged her forward and down, so that she kneeled between his legs.
I’m going to get my new pants dirty.
I’ll buy you new ones.
He cupped the nape of her neck.
Or get them dry cleaned.
She rested her hands on his thighs, looking up at him. At the intensity of his vivid blue eyes her breath hitched, and warmth bloomed in the pit of her stomach.
Or that.
He bent over to kiss her.
This time the kiss wasn’t a quick brush of mouths, but a heated dance of tongues that left her breathless and dazed when it ended. She blinked up at his radiant face and pressed herself closer to him; the edge of the seat dug into her belly. But it wasn’t just the edge of the seat that she felt against her. She shifted backwards and lowered her eyes to his groin. Do you need any help with that?
Yes, please.
Her fingers went to his zipper.
Not here, though.
He curled his hand around hers, stopping their movements while he stroked her neck with the fingers of his free hand. His mouth brushed her forehead and caressed its way to the temple and down to her ear, his breath grazed the outer shell of her ear as he said in a sensual low voice, I’m afraid that the car is too confined for the things that I would like to do with you.
A tremor shook her frame and heat pooled between her legs. He had the ability to arouse her only with his voice, something that he was very well aware of.
He straightened. His hand slid down her neck to her shoulder, his thumb stroked the skin at the dip of her collarbone. It’s good to have you back.
Yeah.
She smiled and then set her hands on the seat by Chris’s hips to lift herself up. She was hoping for an elegant lift and slide back onto her seat, but with her luxuriously curved body she looked more clumsy than not. She wholeheartedly accepted the fact that she’d had to wear plus-sized clothes when she was still in high school, after she almost doubled her body weight in only a few months, but that didn’t mean that there weren’t moments when she disliked her body or was embarrassed by it. Unfortunately, these moments had come more frequently when she started to date the most beautiful man that she had ever seen, and as the co-owner of a well-known modelling agency, she had seen many.
Chris’s fingers came to her aid and gently but firmly guided her to the seat, his eyes never wavering from her face.
