Introduction
The Paleolithic diet has surfaced with guidelines taking eating back to our caveman roots. It is based on the theory and research that shows that our bodies are not well adapted to consume a grain based diets. The Paleo diet recommends that your diet consist of 60% animal food sources and 40% plant sources which include seafood, meat, fruits, vegetables and nuts. Foods in their natural form without preservatives, chemicals or processing.
Eating this way has resulted in a reduction of cardiovascular disease, obesity and diabetes just to name a few. When consuming this diet you will also get the benefits of vitamins and nutrients that benefit your body.
