Auld Lang Sin
Description
Lauren prides herself on being a professional woman with one hard and fast rule: don't ever date anyone you work with. That all goes to hell the minute Ross strolls in the door, with a wicked accent, a rocking body and a face chiseled by angels. Add to that his single-minded determination to get to know Lauren on a more-than-professional basis, and all her carefully crafted rules begin to blur. From the company holiday party to a New Year's Eve masquerade ball, Ross teases and torments until Lauren decides to send the old year out with a bang. A really, really good bang.

Ross
This was getting entirely out of hand. Zoning out in line at the cafeteria was a perfectly normal thing to do, but when you’re zoning out staring at the ass of the new project manager, someone is bound to notice.
That was one nice ass.
A girl can only take so much provocation, right?
And it’s not like the other girls in the office hadn’t noticed. Ross had been the source of speculation ever since he’d arrived in the office, hired by their boss, Max from some consultant firm in the U.K. He was impeccably dressed and had an accent that her friend Marie accurately described as ear candy.
Lauren hadn’t even met him yet - she was traveling the week he came in and now she was chin-deep in catching up, so she hadn’t been able to drop by his office to introduce herself. That is, if she could remember not to swallow her tongue.
Damn.
If looks could ignite, that man would be…
Oh shit.
Lauren groaned inwardly, and at the same time, she pasted on a bland smile because he’d caught her looking.
He gave her a nod, and the corner of his mouth curled up on one side. His eyes told her that he knew exactly how hard she was ogling him.
She changed her mind. He was an asshole. A complete and total asshole. Probably full of himself, too.
She pointedly turned away and made herself walk to the salad bar, when the last thing she wanted was a salad. She was just reaching for a pair of tongs when his voice sounded low in her ear.
I don’t believe we’ve met,
he said. I’m Ross.
Lauren,
she squeaked out.
Lauren Baker? You’re on the marketing team for the launch, then?
"I am now. I was on the brand team for Tristiphan but I’m moving over to Sivalest at the end of the week, to
