Unveiling Word Ministry From Hosea and Joel

25 pages19 minutes

This is part of a series of books in which particular verses are picked from books of the bible, and the issues of the Ministry of the Word are explored, in the light of the mind of God for us.
In this book, we explore four topics, from different verses in the books of Hosea and Joel. They are: The power and purpose of God’s word; Like the rain; Heart of faith; and Blessing from God’s house.
The power and purpose of God’s word
“When we know the purpose of the word, we can respond to it the way we should. When we see it as the word of God and not just the admonition of men, we can really move at its frequency, it will connect us with the purpose and power of God to the level that we have passion for it.”
Like the rain
“So from the cross comes the rain of righteousness. Rain is a picture of surplus. In the Old Testament, there was once drought for some years to show the dry spiritual state of the people of Israel as the worshipped idols. The people sorely suffered (1Kings 18). But after the people bowed down to God the heaven was opened and the rain poured down. The heaven is opened on Jesus (John 1:51), and those who are associated with him by faith can also come into his righteousness. As we are born again of the seed of the word of God which lives forever more, there is no scarcity of righteousness in us.”
Heart of faith
“It is the principle of faith in which we believe having action (including speech) line up with the word of God (2Corinthians 4:13), and the result can range from raising the dead to walking on water to multiplication of bread to feed multitude.”
Blessing from God’s house
“The bible says the church is built on the foundation of apostles and prophets with Jesus Christ as the corner-stone (Ephesians 2:19-22). The shape of the church is derived from the corner-stone, Jesus, and it is defined by grace and truth. Therefore, the measure of a church is based on these two qualities.”
