    A Perfect Day in Marrakech

    Breakfast

    Bask in the calm of a Marrakech morning with hot Moroccan bread, fresh orange juice and coffee from the terrace of your riad or on the sunny roof of Kechmara in the new town.

    Imperial grandeur

    Head to the golden tombs of the Saadian kings before the crowds arrive, then wander over to the enchanting Bahia Palace, where ornate salons and leafy courtyards are illuminated in the morning sun.

    Souk shopping

    Dive into Marrakech’s famed souks – a colourful, exotic labyrinth crammed with everything from sequined babouches to hand-woven carpets. Punctuate the shopping at Café des Epices in the bustling Spice Square.

    Lazy lunch

    Stop for a bite to eat on a rooftop terrace overlooking the medina at Terrasse des Epices or Café Arabe , or spend a lazy hour or two by the pool at Beldi Country Club just outside town.

    There is only one place to be in Marrakech at sunset and that’s in the heart and soul of the city – Jemaa el-Fna, where acrobats, storytellers, magicians and fragrant food stalls fill the square, transforming it into one of the greatest spectacles in the world. Wander through the square, or have a drink at Le Marrakchi which has great views over it.
