Author

Wolfgang Pein

Sheep Fight For Freedom - Wolfgang Pein

    last

… some words before beginning the story:

What do you think about sheep?

Sheep cut the grass, of course .

But that is nothing at all!

The heroes in this book are not normal sheep. "Bunglass" is an Irish sheep. This sheep is wearing his warm sweater and - of course - his Irish paddy-cap.

The Scottish sheep "McGregor" is recognize by his kilt at soon.

The following picture will show you my heroes during a walk in the Scottish Highlands.

… to peace - loving sheep

If you don`t get a sheep in your home at soon, I think you will look for this woolen animal with other own eyes at the end of the book.

The action in my novel is free, but there are many people in the story in really existence.

If you find my sheep funny, I must say and declare – it`s not a child`s book at first.

    … a secret passenger

The inconspicuous small Irish fishermen`s boat was fighting with the sea. The waves today were high – more than very high.

It`s very stormy, the captain cried. I think the storm is going near number 10, very intense.

He had to cry his words to one human only. There were two humans on board together – the captain and his sailor.

The drive was a very secret drive, a special-drive. The fishermen`s boat came from Ireland, passing the Outer Hebrides, passing the Isle of Lewis. And now the direction was the Islands of Orkney. But the really destination was a part before reaching The Orkneys. The captain don`t need a landscape. In this moment he was well informed - his boat drove near around the Scottish Highlands in the north-west of Scotland.

A short time till Cap Wrath and then the boat likes to reach Loch Erboll – a far reaching Fjord.

Just this moment at the mainland a passenger was already prepared, waiting of the fishermen`s boat.

Nearby Loch Erboll are situated the Smoo Caves, some very big caves. In this caves there were a lot of sheep, a flock of sheep.

The chief of the sheep is called McGregor. In earlier times he and his (sheep) family lived on a farm ground with a very friendly farmer. One day was a very bad day for the sheep, a black day.

The friendly farmer died! There was no other farmer able to take the sheep to his own farm. So the butchers were called to come and take the sheep away.

The main-name of the butchers in this area is called NSA – what means National Sheep Attack, the trade union of all butchers!

But McGregor felt the danger and just next moment he and all his family were on the run – a run in the highest Highlands to the north-west of Scotland. And at the end of the run there is Loch Erboll - and there are the Smoo Caves too.

The butchers were very angry about the sheep run. They want to arrest the sheep and wrote a notification to all butchers to catch the passing sheep death or alive.

Now you know the reason because this operation is a very secret action! And in a short time the fishermen`s boat will take in McGregor, the secret passenger.

    … Ireland- County Donegal

At the west coast of Ireland, directly by the Atlantic-Ocean, there is situated the little town Glencolumbkille. This little town is another scene of action. At the grass nearby the visitor-centre there is the home of another flock of sheep. And the chief of the sheep there is called Bunglass. Bunglass is the favorite-friend of McGregor.

All the sheep in Glencolumbkille are well-known McGregor. Bunglass told his sheep many stories – many experience he had with his friend McGregor. And all the sheep were waiting for the arrival of McGregor now. One special by Bunglass and his friend is the understanding of human language. Bunglass had learned this by people visiting the visitor-centre nearby. And McGregor learned a lot of words by Bunglass too.

All the sheep in Glencolumbkille are well-known the history of the run of McGregor and his family. They all became friends with the Scottish sheep.

And the ladies of the sheep in Glencolumbkille became dark eyes, brilliance eyes of happiness thinking the arrival of McGregor.

Bunglass tried to do a special-welcome. He drove with a friendly human – a good friend of all – in direction the place, the fishermen`s boat will arrive the north-coast of Irland. The meating-point with the boat will be the Fanad Head. Bunglass had a secret in is
