    How to Make Paper Dolls

    Supplies You’ll Need:

    Construction paper or card stock

Pencils to draw doll and accessories

    Scissors

    Craft glue

    Markers, colored pencils, or crayons

Old wrapping paper or decorative paper of any sort

Ribbon, yarn, old buttons, sequins, stickers, glitter, scraps of cloth

    1. Draw a doll pattern on a piece of construction paper (you can use this as a template to make as many dolls as you want, or make different sized patterns to create a doll family!).

    2. Carefully cut out the pattern(s) with scissors.

    3. Trace around the doll’s body on another sheet of paper (wrapping, decorative, or construction paper) in the shape of clothes for your doll. Don’t forget to make tabs on the clothes to fold over the doll’s body!

    4. Use the ribbon, sequins, etc. to decorate your clothes. You can also create accessories like purses, shoes, and jewelry.

This is the way we iron our clothes

Iron our clothes, iron our clothes

This is the way we iron our clothes

    So early Tuesday morning

This is the way we mend our clothes

Mend our clothes, mend our clothes

This is the way we mend our clothes

    So early Wednesday morning

This is the way we sweep the floor

Sweep the floor, sweep the floor

This is the way we sweep the floor

    So early Thursday morning

This is the way we scrub the floor

Scrub the floor, scrub the floor

This is the way we scrub the floor

    So early Friday morning

This is the way we bake our bread

Bake our bread, bake our bread

This is the way we bake our bread

    So early Saturday morning

This is the way we go to church

Go to church, go to church

This is the way we go to church

    So early Sunday morning

Like stardust glistening on fairies’ wings, little girls’ dreams are of magical things.
