      About The King James Bible

      The King James Bible is often referred to as the King James Version (KJV). There are slightly different versions of the King James Bible and in this e-book we use the King James Pure Cambridge Version which we call KJB for short. The following information is an excerpt from Wikipedia:

      King James Version - General History: The King James Version (KJV), also known as the Authorized Version (AV) or King James Bible (KJB), is an English translation of the Christian Bible for the Church of England begun in 1604 and completed in 1611. In 1612, the first King James Version using Roman Type was issued. This quarto version is only second to the 1611 folio KJV. First printed by the King's Printer Robert Barker, this was the third translation into English to be approved by the English Church authorities. The first was the Great Bible commissioned in the reign of King Henry VIII (1535), and the second was the Bishops' Bible of 1568. In January 1604, James I convened the Hampton Court Conference where a new English version was conceived in response to the perceived problems of the earlier translations as detected by the Puritans, a faction within the Church of England.

      James gave the translators instructions intended to guarantee that the new version would conform to the ecclesiology and reflect the episcopal structure of the Church of England and its belief in an ordained clergy. The translation was done by 47 scholars, all of whom were members of the Church of England. In common with most other translations of the period, the New Testament was translated from Greek, the Old Testament was translated from Hebrew and Aramaic text, while the Apocrypha was translated from the Greek and Latin. In the Book of Common Prayer (1662), the text of the Authorized Version replaced the text of the Great Bible – for Epistle and Gospel readings (but not for the Psalter which has retained substantially Coverdale's Great Bible version) and as such was authorized by Act of Parliament. By the first half of the 18th century, the Authorized Version had become effectively unchallenged as the English translation used in Anglican and Protestant churches, other than for the Psalms and some short passages in the Book of Common Prayer of the Church of England. Over the course of the 18th century, the Authorized Version supplanted the Latin Vulgate as the standard version of scripture for English-speaking scholars. With the development of stereotype printing at the beginning of the 19th century, this version of the Bible became the most widely printed book in history, almost all such printings presenting the standard text of 1769 extensively re-edited by Benjamin Blayney at Oxford; and nearly always omitting the books of the Apocrypha. Today the unqualified title 'King James Bible' commonly identifies this Oxford standard text.

Tämä raamatunkäännös on käytössä paikoittain nykyäänkin ja se on tekijänoikeuksista vapautettu teos.Kirkkohistorian professori Simo Heinisen mukaan Mikael Agricolan käännöstyön jälki näkyi vielä vuoden 1938 Raamatussa. Rovasti ja kirjailija Risto Santala kirjoittaa vuoden 1938 käännöksestä: Edellisen Kirkkoraamattumme kielellinen ja merkitysopillinen taso ovat olleet niin kovaa luokkaa, että sitä voitaneen pitää yhtenä maailman parhaista käännöksistä.

      Käännöksen tekeminen kesti 80 vuotta ja sen aikana myös osa käännökseen kohdistuneista vaatimuksista ja tavoitteista muuttui. Käännöskomitea asetettiin Keisarillisen Suomen senaatin(johdossa Aleksanteri II ja Johan Mauritz Nordenstam) päätöksellä 11. huhtikuuta 1861. Siihen kuului arvovaltaisia jäseniä, kuten professori A. W. Ingman. Komitean puheenjohtaja oli professori Gabriel Geitlin. Tarkoituksena oli, Ingmanin aikaisempaa, Koetusraamattu 1859 käännöstä apuna käyttäen tehdä tarvittavat korjaukset ja muutokset Raamatun alkutekstin pohjalta. Komitean saamat ohjeet olivat kuitenkin epämääräiset sekä työtavoista oltiin erimielisiä. Vanhan testamentin käännösehdotus valmistui, mutta ei saanut kirkolliskokouksen hyväksyntää. Komitea hajaantui vuonna 1886, kun kirkolliskokous hylkäsi ehdotuksen.

      Kirkolliskokous asetti samana vuonna uuden raamatunkäännöskomitean, joka keskittyi lähinnä Uuden testamentin kääntämiseen. Tärkeät välityöt olivat vuoden 1906 evankeliumisuomennos sekä vuoden 1913 Uuden testamentin väliaikainen suomennos. Käännöksen pohjana käytettiin kreikankielistä alkutekstiä. Lopullisen ehdotuksen laati vuosina 1920–1930 neljän hengen komitea: A. F. Puukko, Aug. F. Peltonen, Juho Mannermaa ja Otto Manninen. Tarkoituksena oli saada raamatunkäännöstyö lopulta valmiiksi. Tärkeänä pidettiin vanhan Raamatussa käytetyn kielen suurempaa huomioon ottamista ja kieliasun yhtenäistämistä. Monista raamattukieltä kahlinneista vieraista piirteistä päästiin lopulta eroon. Pohjateksteinä olivat sekä Vanhan että Uuden testamentin osalta tieteellisesti toimitetut laitokset. Tunnettua kuitenkin on, että komitean työn kantavana periaatteena oli:

      »Raamattu- ja kirkkokielemme, joka on suomalaisen kirjakielen vanhin ja samalla mitä arvokkain tyylilaji, tulee kaiketi saada säilyä ja kehittyä omalla pohjallansa.»

      Первые переводы Библии на русский язык изданы в начале XIX века. До этого в церковном и домашнем обиходе использовались только церковнославянские переводы Библии, восходящие к переводческим трудам Кирилла и Мефодия. По указу императрицы Елизаветы в 1751 году была издана тщательно исправленная церковнославянская Библия, так называемая «Елизаветинская» (работа над этим изданием была начата еще в 1712 году по указу Петра I). Её текст был сверен с древним греческим переводом — Септуагинтой. Елизаветинскую Библию, почти без изменений, до сих пор употребляет Русская православная церковь. Однако ясно, что читать и понимать текст этой Библии может только тот, кто хорошо знает церковнославянский язык. На протяжении веков язык этот всё больше и больше отличается от развивающегося русского языка и становится всё более непонятным народу. Поэтому делались попытки перевести Библию на употреблявшийся в жизни русский язык.

      Ещё в 1683 г. дьяк Авраам Фирсов перевёл Псалтырь с польского протестантского издания на современный ему русский язык, однако патриарх Иоаким не позволил выпустить этот перевод в свет. Двадцать лет спустя Пётр I отправил в Москву пленного пастора Глюка, который занимался переложением Библии на русский язык. Его перевод также не сохранился.

      В 1813 было основано Российское библейское общество, поставившее своей целью печатание и распространение книг Священного Писания среди народов страны. Было решено продавать их по низкой цене и бесплатно раздавать неимущим. В 1815 году, после возвращения из-за границы, император Александр I повелел «доставить и россиянам способ читать Слово Божие на природном своём российском языке». Ответственность за издание книг Священного Писания на русском языке взяло на себя Российское библейское общество, перевод был поручен членам Петербургской духовной академии.

      В 1818 году первое издание четырёх Евангелий параллельно на русском и церковнославянском языках вышло из печати, а в 1822 году впервые был полностью напечатан русский Новый Завет. Затем стали переводить и печатать книги Ветхого Завета. Одновременно делались переводы Священного Писания и на языки других народов Российской империи.

      Некоторые представители высших церковных властей отрицательно относились к деятельности Библейского общества. Они считали, что Библия должна находиться в руках духовенства и что не следует давать возможность народу читать и изучать её самостоятельно. Мишенью консерваторов становится один из первых переводчиков, Герасим Павский. В 1824 году митрополит Серафим просит царя запретить Библейское общество. В апреле 1826 года по указу императора Николая I деятельность общества была прекращена.

      Лишь в 1858 году император Александр II разрешил перевод и печатание Священного Писания на русском языке. Перевод должен был осуществляться под руководством Синода (высшего управления Православной церкви). Была проделана большая работа для того, чтобы русский перевод книг Священного Писания как можно больше соответствовал текстам древних подлинников, а также обладал литературными достоинствами. Решено было заново тщательно подготовить перевод всех книг Ветхого Завета. Для этого в 1860 году был избран специальный комитет при Петербургской духовной академии. Перевод Ветхого Завета делали профессора Петербургской духовной академии: М. А. Голубев, Е. И. Ловятин, П. И. Савваитов — известный археолог и историк, Д. А. Хвольсон — христианин еврейского происхождения, профессор Петербургской духовной академии. Много потрудился над переводом также профессор Киевской духовной академии М. С. Гуляев. Перевод Ветхого Завета осуществлен с древнееврейского (масоретского) текста Библии, а Нового Завета с греческого Textus Receptus. Переводчики руководствовались также греческим текстом Септуагинты, пользовались Вульгатой — латинским переводом Иеронима и ранее сделанным русским переводом.

      В 1862 году, сорок лет спустя после первого издания русского Нового Завета, было выпущено в свет второе его издание, несколько улучшенное, на более современном русском языке. В 1876 году впервые вышла из печати полная русская Библия. Этот перевод получил название «синодального», так как был издан под руководством Синода.

      Our Bible Introduction

      Gods word is surely the most wonderful and astounding text given mankind throughout all time. Only a thourough study of it can unlock its secrets. We believe it is critical, not just in this time and age, to understand Gods nature. At present everything seems to be upside down, where good is bad and bad is good. Our direction and compass is knowing God wrote His word to stand the test of time since He clearly wrote it prophetically, seeing the end from the beginning. How do we know? We know because He has confirmed many of the events that are happening in the world and have happened even within our own small lifespan. God has spoken of and prophecied about world wide events in The Bible and these prophecies are unique. You will not find anything like The Bible on planet Earth with such mindblowing accuracy and precision. But on a smaller level, each man and woman needs to make up their mind and walk out that which God tells them. That is when we have the signs and wonders following, by acting upon and putting our trust in The word of God, The Bible. It is indeed written that Jesus Christ is the author of our faith and what more can we ask for. I have personally seen people healed from incurable sicknesses such as HIV. Through the authority Jesus gave us I have cast out Demons, seen metal disappear from a body and be replaced with normal bones. I have set people free from the smallest sickness to terminal sickness and I can testify of the immense joy that follows a battle fought and won! There are many witnesses of the signs and wonders that will happen to anyone who choose to believe God and dares to walk the talk. Surely, The Body of Christ is active and alive and God is good to His children! But we need to heed His word and seek the knowledge He has for us. Not just through the word, but through closeness with God and active fellowship with our brothers and sisters. The Holy Spirit will always confirm The Truth that Jesus Christ of Nazareth wants to share with us.

      But do not just take this for granted. Gods word can surely be dug into, tested, verified and found worthy. But for you to incorporate it into your life and see the reality of it, requires faith. Living faith, not dead faith. A heartbeat at a time, day by day, feeding upon The Word of God and enjoying the fruit of The Spirit. When we ask God, pursuit the truth He has set before us, He will surely answer in time. Do not think it will lead you to nowhere, cause it will not. This is not just some senseless gong ho as unbelievers will have it, sprinkled with nice stories of miracles and what not. Far from it. We have seen this time and time again. The truth is singular and our creator is true and The One and only I AM. There are no multiple Gods here, that is a lie from the devil. Neither is God a floating self-aware entity made up by every living being. Earth, or Gaia as many calls it is a fiction and a fairytale. How we have stumbled, fallen and seen death all around us, but never did it enlighten us until Jesus Christ of Nazareth came and showed us the truth and nothing but the truth. He is surely the way, the truth and the life. Unless a person walks it out according to Gods knowledge, that person will continue sleepwalking until the very end. Such an end would be sad to say the least. Wake up now and taste the goodness of God and draw close to Him and He will draw close to you! And if you have already woken up, but are walking around feeling sleepy: *fight* in order to not fall asleep again, seek Father with all your heart, mind and soul and be vigilant in doing so! Even so, I must admit I have no clue as to how God has managed to put together The Bible in the way He has. To my own intellect I looked at The Bible as flawed, beyond repair and full of tairytales. But that was before I received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and experienced the power of God through an evangelist who took The Bible literal. The signs and wonders have not stopped since. Not because of me, but because God never changes and He has clearly showed that He wants everyone saved! Hands down, this is the best news I have ever heard and experienced! Love your God with all your heart, with all your might and everthing you are and you will surely conquer whatever comes against you, no matter the size or seeming severity. God seeks your heart, your attention and your affection. Through Him you will overcome the desires and the lusts of this world and live a life of abundance into eternity.

      Please forgive me for being so blunt and straight forward. I sincerely wish for you all to be and walk in the blessing God has for you. Some of you are even walking in what feels like a desert, but remember that God will chastise those He loves. Not because He hates us, on the contrary. He is our Father if we let Him, and He will always see to it that as long as we listen to Him we will carry more fruit. And sometimes a time in the desert is needed. Even so, please fear not, because God is surely on your side when you seek Him with all your heart. Surely nothing is impossible with our Father in heaven. If He has spoken it will come to pass! All Glory to God!!

      Genesis 1 :1

      kjb In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

      kjb And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

      Genesis 1 :6

      kjb And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

      pyr Ja Jumala sanoi: Tulkoon taivaanvahvuus vetten välille erottamaan vedet vesistä.

      rus И сказал Бог: да будет твердь посреди воды, и да отделяет она воду от воды.

      Genesis 1 :7

      kjb And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which [were] under the firmament from the waters which [were] above the firmament: and it was so.

      kjb And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

      kjb And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry [land] appear: and it was so.

      pyr Ja Jumala sanoi: Kokoontukoot vedet, jotka ovat taivaan alla, yhteen paikkaan, niin että kuiva tulee näkyviin. Ja tapahtui niin.

      rus И сказал Бог: да соберется вода, которая под небом, в одно место, и да явится суша. И стало так.

      Genesis 1 :10

      kjb And God called the dry [land] Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that [it was] good.

      pyr Ja Jumala kutsui kuivan maaksi, ja paikan, mihin vedet olivat kokoontuneet, hän kutsui mereksi. Ja Jumala näki, että se oli hyvä.

      rus И назвал Бог сушу землею, а собрание вод назвал морями. И увидел Бог, что это хорошо.

      Genesis 1 :11

      kjb And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, [and] the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed [is] in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

      pyr Ja Jumala sanoi: Kasvakoon maa vihantaa, ruohoja, jotka tekevät siementä, ja hedelmäpuita, jotka lajiensa mukaan kantavat maan päällä hedelmää, jossa niiden siemen on. Ja tapahtui niin:

      rus И сказал Бог: да произрастит земля зелень, траву, сеющую семя дерево плодовитое, приносящее по роду своему плод, в котором семя его на земле. И стало так.

      Genesis 1 :12

      kjb And the earth brought forth grass, [and] herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed [was] in itself, after his kind: and God saw that [it was] good.

      pyr maa tuotti vihantaa, ruohoja, jotka tekivät siementä lajiensa mukaan, ja puita, jotka lajiensa mukaan kantoivat hedelmää, jossa niiden siemen oli. Ja Jumala näki, että se oli hyvä.

      rus И произвела земля зелень, траву, сеющую семя по роду ее, и дерево, приносящее плод, в котором семя его по роду его. И увидел Бог, что это хорошо.

      Genesis 1 :13

      kjb And the evening and the morning were the third day.

      kjb And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

      Genesis 1 :15

      kjb And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

      rus и да будут они светильниками на тверди небесной, чтобы светить на землю. И стало так.

      Genesis 1 :16

      kjb And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: [he made] the stars also.

      pyr Jumala teki kaksi suurta valoa, suuremman valon hallitsemaan päivää ja pienemmän valon hallitsemaan yötä, sekä tähdet.

      rus И создал Бог два светила великие: светило большее, для управления днем, и светило меньшее, для управления ночью, и звезды;

      kjb And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

      Genesis 1 :20

      kjb And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl [that] may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

      pyr Ja Jumala sanoi: Viliskööt vedet eläviä olentoja, ja lentäkööt linnut maan päällä, taivaanvahvuuden alla.

      rus И сказал Бог: да произведет вода пресмыкающихся, душу живую; и птицы да полетят над землею, по тверди небесной.

      Genesis 1 :21

      kjb And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that [it was] good.

      pyr Ja Jumala loi suuret merieläimet ja kaikkinaiset liikkuvat, vesissä vilisevät elävät olennot, kunkin lajinsa mukaan, ja kaikkinaiset siivekkäät linnut, kunkin lajinsa mukaan. Ja Jumala näki, että se oli hyvä.

      rus И сотворил Бог рыб больших и всякую душу животных пресмыкающихся, которых произвела вода, по роду их, и всякую птицу пернатую по роду ее. И увидел Бог, что это хорошо.

      Genesis 1 :22

      kjb And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.

      pyr Ja Jumala siunasi ne sanoen: Olkaa hedelmälliset ja lisääntykää ja täyttäkää meren vedet, ja linnut lisääntykööt maan päällä.

      rus И благословил их Бог, говоря: плодитесь и размножайтесь, и наполняйте воды в морях, и птицы да размножаются на земле.

      Genesis 1 :23

      kjb And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

      pyr Ja tuli ehtoo, ja tuli aamu, viides päivä.

      rus И был вечер, и было утро: день пятый.

      Genesis 1 :24

      kjb And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

      pyr Ja Jumala sanoi: Tuottakoon maa elävät olennot, kunkin lajinsa mukaan, karjaeläimet ja matelijat ja metsäeläimet, kunkin lajinsa mukaan. Ja tapahtui niin:

      rus И сказал Бог: да произведет земля душу живую по роду ее, скотов, и гадов, и зверей земных по роду их. И стало так.

      Genesis 1 :25

      kjb And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that [it was] good.

      pyr Jumala teki metsäeläimet, kunkin lajinsa mukaan, ja karjaeläimet, kunkin lajinsa mukaan, ja kaikki maan matelijat, kunkin lajinsa mukaan. Ja Jumala näki, että se oli hyvä.

      rus И создал Бог зверей земных по роду их, и скот по роду его, и всехгадов земных по роду их. И увидел Бог, что это хорошо.

      Genesis 1 :26

      kjb And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

      pyr Ja Jumala sanoi: Tehkäämme ihminen kuvaksemme, kaltaiseksemme; ja vallitkoot he meren kalat ja taivaan linnut ja karjaeläimet ja koko maan ja kaikki matelijat, jotka maassa matelevat.

      rus И сказал Бог: сотворим человека по образу Нашему по подобию Нашему,и да владычествуют они над рыбами морскими, и над птицами небесными, и над скотом, и над всею землею, и над всеми гадами, пресмыкающимися по земле.

      Genesis 1 :27

      kjb So God created man in his [own] image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

      pyr Ja Jumala loi ihmisen omaksi kuvaksensa, Jumalan kuvaksi hän hänet loi; mieheksi ja naiseksi hän loi heidät.

      rus И сотворил Бог человека по образу Своему, по образу Божию сотворил его; мужчину и женщину сотворил их.

      Genesis 1 :28

      kjb And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

      pyr Ja Jumala siunasi heidät, ja Jumala sanoi heille: Olkaa hedelmälliset ja lisääntykää ja täyttäkää maa ja tehkää se itsellenne alamaiseksi; ja vallitkaa meren kalat ja taivaan linnut ja kaikki maan päällä liikkuvat eläimet.

      rus И благословил их Бог, и сказал им Бог: плодитесь и размножайтесь, и наполняйте землю, и обладайте ею, и владычествуйте над рыбами морскими и над птицами небесными, и над всяким животным, пресмыкающимся по земле.

      Genesis 1 :29

      kjb And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which [is] upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which [is] the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

      pyr Ja Jumala sanoi: "Katso, minä annan teille kaikkinaiset siementä tekevät ruohot, joita kasvaa kaikkialla maan päällä, ja kaikki puut, joissa on siementä tekevä hedelmä; olkoot ne teille ravinnoksi.

      rus И сказал Бог: вот, Я дал вам всякую траву, сеющую семя, какая есть на всей земле, и всякое дерево, у которого плод древесный, сеющий семя; – вам сие будет в пищу;

      Genesis 1 :30

      kjb And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein [there is] life, [I have given] every green herb for meat: and it was so.

      pyr Ja kaikille metsäeläimille ja kaikille taivaan linnuille ja kaikille, jotka maassa matelevat ja joissa on elävä henki, minä annan kaikkinaiset viheriät ruohot ravinnoksi". Ja tapahtui niin.

      rus а всем зверям земным, и всем птицам небесным, и всякому пресмыкающемуся по земле, вкотором душа живая, дал Я всю зелень травную в пищу. И стало так.

      kjb And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, [it was] very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

      pyr Ja Jumala katsoi kaikkea, mitä hän tehnyt oli, ja katso, se oli sangen hyvää. Ja tuli ehtoo, ja tuli aamu, kuudes päivä.

      kjb Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

      kjb And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

      Genesis 2 :3

      kjb And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

      kjb These [are] the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,

      rus Вот происхождение неба и земли, при сотворении их, в то время, когда Господь Бог создал землю и небо,

      Genesis 2 :5

      kjb And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and [there was] not a man to till the ground.

      pyr ei ollut vielä yhtään kedon pensasta maan päällä, eikä vielä kasvanut mitään ruohoa kedolla, koska Herra Jumala ei vielä ollut antanut sataa maan päälle eikä ollut ihmistä maata viljelemässä,

      rus и всякий полевой кустарник, которого еще не было на земле, и всякую полевую траву, которая еще не росла, ибо Господь Бог не посылал дождя на землю, и не было человека для возделывания земли,

      kjb But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.

      kjb And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

      Genesis 2 :8

      kjb And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

      pyr Ja Herra Jumala istutti paratiisin Eedeniin, itään, ja asetti sinne ihmisen, jonka hän oli tehnyt.

      rus И насадил Господь Бог рай в Едеме на востоке, и поместил там человека, которого создал.

      Genesis 2 :9

      kjb And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

      pyr Ja Herra Jumala kasvatti maasta kaikkinaisia puita, ihania nähdä ja hyviä syödä, ja elämän puun keskelle paratiisia, niin myös hyvän-ja pahantiedon puun.

      rus И произрастил Господь Бог из земли всякое дерево, приятное на вид и хорошее для пищи, и дерево жизни посреди рая, и дерево познания добра и зла.

      Genesis 2 :10

      kjb And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.

      pyr Ja Eedenistä lähti joki, joka kasteli paratiisia, ja se jakaantui sieltä neljään haaraan.

      rus Из Едема выходила река для орошения рая; и потом разделялась на четыре реки.

      Genesis 2 :11

      kjb The name of the first [is] Pison: that [is] it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where [there is] gold;

      pyr Ensimmäisen nimi on Piison; se kiertää koko Havilan maan, jossa on kultaa;

      rus Имя одной Фисон: она обтекает всю землю Хавила, ту, где золото;

      Genesis 2 :12

      kjb And the gold of that land [is] good: there [is] bdellium and the onyx stone.

      pyr ja sen maan kulta on hyvää. Siellä on myös bedellion-pihkaa ja onyks-kiveä.

      Genesis 2 :13

      kjb And the name of the second river [is] Gihon: the same [is] it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.

      rus Имя второй реки Гихон: она обтекает всю землю Куш.

      Genesis 2 :14

      kjb And the name of the third river [is] Hiddekel: that [is] it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river [is] Euphrates.

      pyr Kolmannen virran nimi on Hiddekel; se juoksee Assurin editse. Ja neljäs virta on Eufrat.

      rus Имя третьей реки Хиддекель: она протекает пред Ассириею. Четвертая река Евфрат.

      Genesis 2 :15

      kjb And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

      pyr Ja Herra Jumala otti ihmisen ja pani hänet Eedenin paratiisiin viljelemään ja varjelemaan sitä.

      rus И взял Господь Бог человека, и поселил его в саду Едемском, чтобы возделывать его и хранить его.

      Genesis 2 :16

      kjb And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

      Genesis 2 :17

      kjb But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

      pyr mutta hyvän-ja pahantiedon puusta älä syö, sillä sinä päivänä, jona sinä siitä syöt, pitää sinun kuolemalla kuoleman".

      rus а от дерева познания добра и зла не ешь от него, ибо в день, в который ты вкусишь от него, смертью умрешь.

      Genesis 2 :18

      kjb And the LORD God said, [It is] not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

      pyr Ja Herra Jumala sanoi: Ei ole ihmisen hyvä olla yksinänsä, minä teen hänelle avun, joka on hänelle sopiva.

      rus И сказал Господь Бог: не хорошо быть человеку одному; сотворим ему помощника, соответственного ему.

      Genesis 2 :19

      kjb And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought [them] unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that [was] the name thereof.

      pyr Ja Herra Jumala teki maasta kaikki metsän eläimet ja kaikki taivaan linnut ja toi ne ihmisen eteen nähdäkseen, kuinka hän ne nimittäisi; ja niinkuin ihminen nimitti kunkin elävän olennon, niin oli sen nimi oleva.

      rus Господь Бог образовал из земли всех животных полевых и всех птицнебесных, и привел к человеку, чтобы видеть, как он назовет их, и чтобы, как наречет человек всякую душу живую, так и было имя ей.

      Genesis 2 :20

      kjb And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

      pyr Ja ihminen antoi nimet kaikille karjaeläimille ja taivaan linnuille ja kaikille metsän eläimille. Mutta Aadamille ei löytynyt apua, joka olisi hänelle sopinut.

      rus И нарек человек имена всем скотам и птицам небесным и всем зверямполевым; но для человека не нашлось помощника, подобного ему.

      Genesis 2 :21

      kjb And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

      pyr Niin Herra Jumala vaivutti ihmisen raskaaseen uneen, ja kun hän nukkui, otti hän yhden hänen kylkiluistaan ja täytti sen paikan lihalla.

      rus И навел Господь Бог на человека крепкий сон; и, когда он уснул,взял одно из ребр его, и закрыл то место плотию.

      Genesis 2 :22

      kjb And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

      pyr Ja Herra Jumala rakensi vaimon siitä kylkiluusta, jonka hän oli ottanut miehestä, ja toi hänet miehen luo.

      rus И создал Господь Бог из ребра, взятого у человека, жену, и привел ее к человеку.

      Genesis 2 :23

      kjb And Adam said, This [is] now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

      pyr Ja mies sanoi: Tämä on nyt luu minun luistani ja liha minun lihastani; hän kutsuttakoon miehettäreksi, sillä hän on miehestä otettu.

      rus И сказал человек: вот, это кость от костей моих и плоть от плоти моей; она будет называться женою, ибо взята от мужа.

      Genesis 2 :24

      kjb Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

      pyr Sentähden mies luopukoon isästänsä ja äidistänsä ja liittyköön vaimoonsa, ja he tulevat yhdeksi lihaksi.

      rus Потому оставит человек отца своего и мать свою и прилепится к жене своей; и будут одна плоть.

      Genesis 2 :25

      kjb And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

      pyr Ja he olivat molemmat, mies ja hänen vaimonsa, alasti eivätkä hävenneet toisiansa.

      Genesis 3 :1

      kjb Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

      rus только плодов дерева, которое среди рая, сказал Бог, не ешьте их и не прикасайтесь к ним, чтобы вам не умереть.

      kjb And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

      kjb For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

      pyr vaan Jumala tietää, että sinä päivänä, jona te siitä syötte, aukenevat teidän silmänne, ja te tulette niinkuin Jumala tietämään hyvän ja pahan".

      rus но знает Бог, что в день, в который вы вкусите их, откроются глаза ваши, и вы будете, как боги, знающие добро и зло.

      kjb And when the woman saw that the tree [was] good for food, and that it [was] pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make [one] wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

      kjb And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they [were] naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

      kjb And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.

      kjb And he said, Who told thee that thou [wast] naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?

      kjb And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest [to be] with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.

      Genesis 3 :13

      kjb And the LORD God said unto the woman, What [is] this [that] thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

      kjb And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou [art] cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

      Genesis 3 :15

      kjb And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

      pyr Ja minä panen vainon sinun ja vaimon välille ja sinun siemenesi ja hänen siemenensä välille; se on polkeva rikki sinun pääsi, ja sinä olet pistävä sitä kantapäähän."

      rus и вражду положу между тобою и между женою, и между семенем твоим и между семенем ее; оно будет поражать тебя в голову, а ты будешь жалить его в пяту.

      Genesis 3 :16

      kjb Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire [shall be] to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

      pyr Ja vaimolle hän sanoi: Minä teen suuriksi sinun raskautesi vaivat, kivulla sinun pitää synnyttämän lapsia; mutta mieheesi on sinun halusi oleva, ja hän on sinua vallitseva.

      rus Жене сказал: умножая умножу скорбь твою в беременности твоей; в болезни будешь рождать детей; и к мужу твоему влечение твое, и он будет господствовать над тобою.

      Genesis 3 :17

      kjb And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed [is] the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat [of] it all the days of thy life;

      pyr Ja Aadamille hän sanoi: "Koska kuulit vaimoasi ja söit puusta, josta minä kielsin sinua sanoen: 'Älä syö siitä', niin kirottu olkoon maa sinun tähtesi. Vaivaa nähden sinun pitää elättämän itseäsi siitä koko elinaikasi;

      kjb Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;

      rus терния и волчцы произрастит она тебе; и будешь питаться полевою травою;

      kjb In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou [art], and unto dust shalt thou return.

      pyr Otsasi hiessä sinun pitää syömän leipäsi, kunnes tulet maaksi jälleen, sillä siitä sinä olet otettu. Sillä maasta sinä olet, ja maaksi pitää sinun jälleen tuleman."

      rus в поте лица твоего будешь есть хлеб, доколе не возвратишься в землю, из которой ты взят, ибо прах ты и в прах возвратишься.

      kjb And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.

      kjb Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

      kjb And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

      rus И сказал Господь Бог: вот, Адам стал как один из Нас, зная добро и зло; и теперь как бы не простер он руки своей, и не взял также от дерева жизни, и не вкусил, и не стал жить вечно.

      Genesis 3 :23

      kjb Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.

      Genesis 4 :1

      kjb And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.

      kjb And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

      kjb But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

      pyr mutta Kainin ja hänen uhrilahjansa puoleen hän ei katsonut. Silloin Kain vihastui kovin, ja hänen hahmonsa synkistyi.

      kjb And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?

      pyr Ja Herra sanoi Kainille: "Miksi olet vihastunut, ja miksi hahmosi synkistyy?

      rus И сказал Господь Каину: почему ты огорчился? и отчего поникло лице твое?

      Genesis 4 :7

      kjb If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee [shall be] his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

      pyr Eikö niin: jos teet hyvin, voit kohottaa katseesi; mutta jos et hyvin tee, niin väijyy synti ovella, ja sen halu on sinuun, mutta hallitse sinä sitä!"

      rus если делаешь доброе, то не поднимаешь ли лица? а если не делаешь доброго, то у дверей грех лежит; он влечет тебя к себе, но ты господствуй над ним.

      Genesis 4 :8

      kjb And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.

      pyr Ja Kain sanoi veljellensä Aabelille: Menkäämme kedolle. Ja heidän kedolla ollessansa Kain karkasi veljensä Aabelin kimppuun ja tappoi hänet.

      rus И сказал Каин Авелю, брату своему. И когда они были в поле, восстал Каин на Авеля, брата своего, и убил его.

      kjb And the LORD said unto Cain, Where [is] Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: [Am] I my brother's keeper?

      kjb And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.

      rus И сказал: что ты сделал? голос крови брата твоего вопиет ко Мне от земли;

      kjb And now [art] thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;

      pyr Ja nyt ole kirottu ja karkoitettu pois tältä vainiolta, joka avasi suunsa ottamaan veljesi veren sinun kädestäsi.

      rus и ныне проклят ты от земли, которая отверзла уста свои принять кровь брата твоего от руки твоей;

      Genesis 4 :12

      kjb When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.

      pyr Kun maata viljelet, ei se ole enää sinulle satoansa antava; kulkija ja pakolainen pitää sinun oleman maan päällä."

      rus когда ты будешь возделывать землю, она не станет более давать силы своей для тебя; ты будешь изгнанникоми скитальцем на земле.

      Genesis 4 :13

      kjb And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment [is] greater than I can bear.

      pyr Ja Kain sanoi Herralle: "Syyllisyyteni on suurempi, kuin että sen kantaa voisin.

      rus И сказал Каин Господу: наказание мое больше, нежели снести можно;

      Genesis 4 :14

      kjb Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, [that] every one that findeth me shall slay me.

      pyr Katso, sinä karkoitat minut nyt pois vainiolta, ja minun täytyy lymytä sinun kasvojesi edestä ja olla kulkija ja pakolainen maan päällä; ja kuka ikinä minut kohtaa, se tappaa minut."

      rus вот, Ты теперь сгоняешь меня с лица земли, и от лица Твоего я скроюсь, и буду изгнанником и скитальцем на земле; и всякий, ктовстретится со мною, убьет меня.

      Genesis 4 :15

      kjb And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.

      pyr Mutta Herra sanoi hänelle: Sentähden, kuka ikinä tappaa Kainin, hänelle se pitää seitsenkertaisesti kostettaman. Ja Herra pani Kainiin merkin, ettei kukaan, joka hänet kohtaisi, tappaisi häntä.

      rus И сказал ему Господь: за то всякому, кто убьет Каина, отмстится всемеро. И сделал Господь Каину знамение, чтобы никто, встретившись с ним, не убил его.

      Genesis 4 :16

      kjb And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.
