Summary

Tyler and Abraham aren't friends. In fact, Abraham thinks Tyler is an irritating, cowardly sheep, and Tyler thinks Abraham is a self-righteous know-it-all who deliberately makes life hard for himself. But they have this arrangement, solidified in a contract they signed in the fifth grade, which states that each of them will come to the other's aid in any time of need. Between the ages of ten and eighteen, they invoke the contract numerous times, finding it refreshing to talk to someone who thinks so differently than their usual respective groups of friends. But it isn't until Tyler starts his first year of college that he realizes what he had in Abraham, or how hard he's going to have to work to find it elsewhere.
