About this ebook
Carlos Alejandro Alza, a teen migrant from Guatemala, is no match for the Mexican gangs or corrupt coyotes. He is poorly armed, carrying only his late father's small fishing knife and an enduring innocent heart.
Yet somehow, through a long and treacherous journey, Carlos comes of age, blossoming into the strong and courageous young man his father had groomed him to be.
Miraculously, Carlos eventually embarks on a new road to healing, family reunification and a new country to call home.
