Summary

A brief preface sets scope of work. The first poem dramatizes Isaac regretting depriving Esau of his blessing. The second poem has Adam lamenting original sin and the need for Jesus to die as ransom. Sarah laments the whole Hagar, Ishmael affair, and looks ruefully at the travails of Jacob and Esau. Divine Wisdom laments the sad history of the world and indicates its end in resplendent manifestation of divine mercy.
