Welcome to Texas, Miss Sheriff!

Length: 383 pages5 hours

Less than three years short of retirement, Chief Master at Arms Bailey Blondell is forced out of the Navy after an accident left her unable to perform her duties. Fortunately (or maybe not), her father informed her that her home county was in need of a qualified candidate to complete the term of deceased Sheriff Ronald Otis.
Buster was confident she would win the election. He was the only qualified candidate in the county and he didn't want the job.
With doubts about her future looming larger every day, this could be her only option for rehabbing herself back in shape to take a real law enforcement position when the partial term expired.
She threw her hat in the ring and won the election, having run unopposed.
But a sheriff is more of a politician than a police officer, making the transition harder than she expected. Further complicating her return to normalcy is the chauvinistic rancher Cody Norwood who confounded the already-complex circumstances surrounding the death of her predecessor.
Gun smuggling, family dysfunction, romantic intrigue and some humorous characters keep the plot rolling.
This romantic comedy is written especially to appeal to male readers, although females are welcome to give it a look; see what you think.
