Pam Davis is an avid horsewoman, as well as a creative, imaginative author. She is the driving force behind the story of Shadow, which reflects her obvious love for and devotion to companion animals. In her profession, she is a judge in Los Angeles, California and she’s married to her co-author, Steve Davis.

This book is dedicated to my horse Sedona. When he and I fell, I broke my arm. This event caused me to slow way down, to think about all of the wonderful animals I have known and to stop long enough to truly look at horses. In this book, let me introduce you to a special wild Mustang, Shadow of the Canyon.

Shadow is alive and well, playing at a ranch in Agua Dulce, California.
Scientific studies have shown that moral behavior (like being kind, friendship, intimacy, generosity and self-sacrifice) exists in animals. Moreover, human beings are not the only species with feelings and communication skills. An encounter with Shadow is proof of this
