Kingpin Wifeys Season 3 Part 5 The Beginning of the End - K Elliott

    CHAPTER 1

Mikhail had telephoned Stunna and when he picked up the phone, Mikhail asked, Where is my damn money?

I'm working hard to get you the money. You know that.

If you were really working hard, I'd already have my money.

I'm going to give you every penny of it.

I'm leaving to go back to L.A. today, and I'm taking your sister with me.

    Where is she?

The question is where is my money?

There was a long silence. Stunna felt absolutely powerless against Mikhail. He knew he had to come up with that money fast or else the man would surely kill Micky. He was disappointed that they'd worked so long together without an issue and it had come down to Mikhail taking Micky as collateral.

We're getting out of here in a few hours on a chartered jet, at your expense.

    My expense?

Yes. Add an extra fifty thousand on your bill. For inconveniencing me.

Can I speak to my sister?

    Sure, call her.

When Stunna hung the phone up, he dialed Micky's number and it went straight to voice mail.

Starr and Jada were visiting Lani's mother, Ms. Carolyn. She'd been having a rough time with Lani's birthday being so near so the girls had come over to keep her company. Ms. Carolyn baked chocolate chip cookies for them and they sat flipping through old photo albums. They shared stories about Lani till they dozed. The next morning, Ms. Carolyn prepared breakfast: cheese grits, eggs, and turkey sausage.

I want to thank you girls for coming by. I really appreciate this, Ms. Carolyn said. You know I look at y'all like my children now. She smiled, Not really, but you know what I mean.

And we look at you like a second mom and if you need anything, let us know.

I need some grandkids. Now which one of y'all are going to have some. You wait too long, those eggs are going to dry out.

The girls laughed and then Starr said, You can watch my son, T.J., if you want.

Bring him over. I'd love to watch him. I get lonely sometimes. I try to keep busy.

Ms. Carolyn hugged and kissed both girls.

It was 8:30 a.m. when Starr and Jada pulled up to Jada's home. They hugged before Jada exited the car. Jada spotted Shantelle's car inside the open garage. She'd secretly hoped Shantelle wasn't there so she could have the bed to herself. Jada discarded her purse on the end table, removed her shoes, and plopped down on the sofa to relax for a moment before grabbing the remote and flipping the TV on to CNN. Donald Trump's orange, pasty face was plastered all over the TV. Jada thought about what a Trump led America would mean: more black men getting shot down dead in the streets. She powered down the TV, trying to decide whether she should crawl into the bed with Shantelle. She sprang from the sofa then entered the bedroom and flipped the light switch.

She glanced at Shantelle and said, Sorry, girl. I gotta get me something to sleep in. I'll turn the light off in a second. She thought to herself, damn this bitch is sleeping hard as hell. Shantelle wasn't a snorer but she was a heavy breather and a teeth grinder. She approached the bed and when she saw Shantelle's dead body enclosed in a blood soaked tshirt, she gasped, covered her mouth then screamed in horror. She dashed out of the room and called Starr over and over until she finally answered.

    Jada, what's up?

Come to my house! Please come back to my house right now!

I have to pick up T.J. from my parent's house.

Starr, please come to my house right now…it's Shantelle.

    What's wrong with Shantelle?

She's dead…somebody killed her. You have to come here right now. I don't think I'm going to make it. I'm having a nervous breakdown. Please come right now. Come now, Starr. I need you.

I'm turning around right now. Give me ten minutes. In the meantime, you have to call the cops. Call 911.

Jada ended the call and she sat back down on the sofa. She decided that she would not call 911 until Starr arrived. She needed support. She needed someone to be here when she talked to the police. Her mind raced and she wondered who had come here while she was gone. How did they get in? They must have come in through the garage. Why did they kill Shantelle? Were they going to try to kill her? Was this meant for her? This was her home after all. She heard screeching car wheels. Starr ran through the open garage and she found Jada sitting on the sofa crying. Starr ran to her friend and embraced her and told her it was going to be okay. It was not going to be okay, but it was the right thing to say.

Starr patted Jada's back and then asked, Did you call the police?

    No.

    Why not?

I just couldn't deal with it alone. I just felt better to wait until you got here.

Starr removed her cell phone from her purse and dialed 911 and gave them the address. Four minutes later, the police and the ambulance were there and Jada led the paramedics into the bedroom and showed them the dead body. The medical examiner examined the body. The police led Jada into the living room and questioned her.

At the stop sign, the engine in the Accord Hybrid was peaceful. Inside the car, Q removed his gloves and stuck the chrome 380 underneath the armrest. He entered onto I-85 and headed north until he reached Jimmy Carter Boulevard. Then he drove into a car wash. He exited the car and removed a PurpleRain themed towel with an image of Prince sitting on a motorcycle. He toweled the gun. Though he'd worn gloves, he still didn't want to leave any prints; not that they would be retrievable because the next step was to toss the damn gun in a body of water. He hopped back into the car. He drove to Lake Lanier and removed the cartridge and tossed it in the lake, then tossed the gun in another direction.

An hour later, he torched the Purple Rain towel and drove home and showered. The concierge called to inform him he had a guest. He told them to send Starr up.  When she entered his home, he offered her water and she declined.  Her lips curled and he asked Is there something wrong?

You damn right there something wrong.

    What?

Why didn't you tell me that Meeka had gotten you out of jail?

He turned to walk away and she grabbed his shoulder, Don't you walk away from me.

He faced her, Look I didn't have a choice.

    There is always a choice.

Look I wanted out of jail.

So you got my sister to get you out?

I'm not from Atlanta so, it was hard to get someone to bail me out.

What else did she do for you?

    What do you mean?

    Did she suck your dick.

Hell no. Did she say she did?

No but I want to hear it from you.

No, I wouldn't disrespect you like that. I swear, I'm never speaking to your sister again.

    Why?

She is obviously trying to get in between us.

She's my sister and she will always be my sister. Did you sleep with my sister?

    No. Did she say that?

She didn't say that but Starr certainly believed it was a possibility.  She stormed out of Q's place without answering the question.
