ENDNOTES
This book is dedicated to my personal friend, actually my best friend at all. I want to thank him for his support, his tender care and his loving favor that he blessed me and privileged me with. I surely feel so indebted to him that I don’t know how to repay him for all his kindness. He never lets me feel alone. As soon as I need him, he is here before I even ask. Is there a greater love? Is there a greater friendship? I don’t think so. I hope my readers will find such a friendship. Perhaps the same, for he never refuses to love anyone back. He never turns down anyone.
I need him when I stand and I need when I rest. I need him all the time. He gave me a signal. Whenever I feel troubled or shameful or scared, I lack confidence, and then I know, yes I realize: my Master and my Lord, the Creator of the universe and the God of Peace, never left me, I’m the one who went astray...
The Author Mrs. Laila Fares wrote this book as a reflection of her strong feelings towards her heritage. She has a deep sense of pride in this heritage that she inherited through her upbringing. She was raised as a Christian Egyptian Copt. She also had an extensive educational background, including a doctorate in French literature from La Sorbonne University in Paris, France. She expresses these reflections and meditations in an interesting and easy to follow language. May the Lord use this book for the Glory of His Name.

Coptic Egypt is a multidisciplinary subject involving historical time, geographical space, theological values, political issues and Divine Providence Protection of World Peace Resolutions.
From a Historical point of view, the Spirituality of Coptic Egypt concerns the Egyptian History because it relates to the country of Egypt geographically, chronologically and socially. The Holy Family Visit to Egypt has left deep social, emotional and theological influences that strongly impacted the Egyptian society. Coptic Egypt concerns the Universal Christian History since it relates to the first events inaugurating the New Age of the New Testament, which is the Era of Grace. Egypt has preserved the life of Christ and therefore can be considered as selected by God to host the Holy Family and contribute to a vital major event in the New Age of Grace starting Christian History.
Globalization of Christianity from Egypt was inaugurated by this visit and was perpetuated by the Evangelization of Saint Mark Predication. Saint Mark being the disciple of Christ among the seventy who is the Evangelist and the author of the second Gospel. This Globalization was destined to ultimately reach the Western world due to the strategic cultural, historical and human civilization importance formed by the geographical features proper to the natural central location of Egypt with the Red Sea to its East and the Mediterranean Sea to its North connecting the Ancient World together.
Coptic Egypt concerns World History since both Christian and Egyptian Histories are major and fundamental elements constituting World History. Coptic Egypt concerns finally American History since the analogy established between a pioneer first coming to Florida in 1572 crosses over a 16 centuries interval to compare and contrast the analysis of the reasons, motivation and moral attitude of both visitors, establishing a parallel between this visit to Florida and the visit to Egypt, for similar applied morals and spiritual values.
Coptic Egypt is a major historical key to understanding the transition between Ancient Globalization system and Modern World spiritual needs, values and roots.

In the Old Time God told Pharaoh ‘Let my people Go’. But in the first year A.D. God chose to let the Dearest and Best go in instead of out of Egypt. He sent his Angel to Joseph, the godly man He entrusted with His Son ‘Arise! Take the Child and his Mother and flee to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you to return, for Herod will seek to kill the Child and destroy his life.’¹
Joseph was a very courageous, humble and kind man. He would listen to God every time God spoke to him. He would not harden his heart. He was not stubborn and stiff-necked like God described many of his people when He complained about their disobedience and their rejection of Himself: These people praise me with their lips but their heart is far away from me.
² Joseph was intelligent, reliable and meek, by his very nature and in his very characteristic temperament. Joseph had not yet seen any visions when he took a purely human decision of his own, as he was fiance to the Virgin Mary and he had decided to dismiss her secretly and not publicly. In order not to defame her Name, he cared to protect her and to show his love to her by adopting the attitude of forgiveness toward a situation that caused women to be stoned back in that time, which is to be pregnant without marriage. That proves the goodness of his heart. The big majority of men in his place would have chosen to revenge for their dignity and their honor. If not publicly, at
