This book is dedicated to two special people sharing my journey through life; my wife, Jan, and my son, Ryan. They challenge me to do my best every step of the way.
With fun and excitement.
Preface
As we enter the third Millennium, there are more and more exciting opportunities for investment. The internet is drastically changing the marketplace and opening a whole new world of possibilities for each of us. Technology in the coming decades will no doubt provide us with tools that we can hardly even imagine today.
At the same time there are ominous signs that cannot be ignored. Humanity is without a doubt dramatically stressing the very life-support systems that all life-including ours—relies on. We need to remember the basics; clean water, clean air and clean soil. Without a healthy environment we could be super-rich but we would be living the lives of paupers! Imagine a world where you can’t breathe without inhaling noxious fumes, can’t drink without tasting chemical additives… The true measure of wealth is in our relationships, our quality of life and the quality of our environment.
The techniques I provide in this book work and they work well. By using the approach set out here you can dramatically increase the profit potential of every investment you make. However, like all tools, these must be used wisely.
I challenge you to take aim with your money! Use your investments to support companies, commodities and products that are beneficial to society and to the environment. Before you decide to invest money in a tobacco manufacturer consider how many teenagers who become hooked today will die premature deaths because of lung cancer. Before you invest in a pesticide manufacturer or distributor of genetically modified foods or seeds, consider the cancer-causing agents and genetic disasters-in-the-making being spread throughout our precious air, water and soil.
Use the tools I’ve provided in this book wisely, for the health of all and for the continued abundance of our home, our planet—earth. Don’t invest in harmful chemicals, deadly armaments, sweat shops using child labor (modern day slavery)-decide to make a positive difference instead! Point your capital in the direction of a positive future for all.
May the coming Millennium bring you and your family much joy and abundance.
Sincerely, George Sranko Victoria, B.C.

INTRODUCTION
The book in your hand is unlike any other book I have read on the subject of investing or trading the markets for profit.
It is written for the intelligent investor who wants to make a reasonable second income through actively investing in stocks and/or commodities. It is for the person who is not satisfied with someone else calling all the shots or waiting for passive investments to go somewhere.
What I have presented here is a sensible approach to trading based on the experience I have gained over years of active trading. If you are an inexperienced investor who would like to trade stocks and commodities but have no idea of where to begin, read on! You will find much of this material just what you are looking for.
Using the approach outlined here you will be able to select stocks or commodities with good profit potential quickly and accurately. You will learn how to trade them from the day you buy until the day you sell (or vice versa). You will learn how to prevent unacceptable losses and turn potential gains into real profits. You will learn automatic entry and exit techniques used primarily by professional traders.
My system is also for the experienced trader who wants to maximize profits and perhaps make up for previous losses. It shows you how you can select the best trades without having to wade through years of financial reports and endless newspaper items. It includes detailed information on how you can narrow your research to the few stocks or commodities with the best potential to make money.
I am excited about the material presented in this book. I
really believe that this information can change your life by making your trading more rewarding. It has changed mine. With the trading and account management techniques presented here you can realistically expect to make a meaningful amount of money within the next few years.
I don’t think of myself as an investor. Investing in the traditional sense is similar to buying a lottery ticket. Very often there is no plan, no strategy, no discipline. If you win it is most often simply a matter of luck. I am more interested in making my own trading decisions based on skill and knowledge; and living with the results.
I consider myself a business manager-the manager of my own trading account. I put my capital to work for the best possible returns. My objective is not 6% or 7% (less after inflation); it is to provide a meaningful source of income to live the lifestyle I choose. I am willing to work towards that end by learning and applying strategies that have proven successful in the past.
I have found that the stock and commodity markets consistently provide returns of 100% to 500% (even 1000%) on the original investment. Level of risk is managed along with all other aspects of my account. The exact amount of money at risk is pre-calculated and trades are entered only if a loss would not jeopardize more than 20% of the account.
The approach I use provides more than simple rules for buying and selling; it is a complete system for managing your own account in a business-like manner. Perhaps for the first time in your investing career
As I gained experience I came to realize that winning boils down to one thing; the correct perspective. The right attitude is the determining factor in successful trading, or any other pursuit.
There are always positions to take, stocks and commodities to trade, bull markets to get in on… your job is not to trade them all but to trade only the ones that give you the best opportunities for making money. Based on your goals and investment criteria-not those of your broker, or your best friend, or a newspaper columnist.
Let the market point the way by learning to trade based on what the market is actually doing, not on what you wish it was doing.
How do you identify a good market to trade?
How do you determine the best time to get in and get out?
Answer these two simple questions successfully for the majority of your trades and you will come out a winner.
Let me show you how in this book.
Chapter 1
The Big Picture
Investment Criteria
The goal of this book is to introduce a reasonable strategy for anyone, almost anywhere, with a couple of thousand dollars or more to invest to make a meaningful amount of money on the stock and commodity markets. Not 6%, 7%, or 8% return but 100%, 200%, 500%
