About this ebook
Wendys Club is a book written for women (but applies to any gender, age, race, religion or sexual preference) who are "hooked" or addicted to people who refuse to grow up (Peter Pans?) AND how to break these addictions. Many men are drawn to women who are attractive, responsible, stable and are loving care givers. But, some men NEED this type of women because she is everything he is not. He tends to not be dependable, responsible, accountible for his actions and, above all, he puts his needs first and has to be the center of attention at all times. Our "Wendy" is, at first mesmerized by him and his charms. But, after a while, she begins to feel like his mother and or playmate, instead of being in a healthy/equal adult relationship. She KNOWS this relationship will probably never change (she gives 90% and he gives 10%) but she rationalizes that , "it could be worse". She stays (even though not happy or fulfilled) because she is afraid that if she leaves , she will be lonely and all alone (she dosen't realize that she already is). In this very easy, metaphorical presentation and reading, one will discover why these relationships exist for generations and how to identify past patterns and present dynamics. The author wiil present specific, theraputic ways of finding ones real self and how to begin to break free of these hurtful, perhaps harmful relationships forever!
Patricia Diane Craine
Patricia Diane Craine is a licensed Psychotherapist who has been in practice for 20 years. She is a Certified Relationship Therapist and a Certified Professional Life Coach. She works with individual adults and couples. Her training and expertise in these areas prompted her to write this book based on the same patterns she sees daily in her private practice. Her practice consists mainly of women complaining that their boyfriend/husband is not dependable, is irresponsible and immature. They feel betrayed that they have to "carry" the relationship and that they feel resentful. Hearing so many of the very same issues presented daily by her patients, Patricia decided to write an accumulation of the "Wendy's", their patterns (past and present) and positive ways to break these "addictions" and move toward a healthy self and healthy relationships. Patricia is a member of numerous Professional Organizations: CAMFT, Diplomate/APA, Americans Registry of Outstanding Professionals,Certified RelationshipSpecialist, CertifiedProfessional Coach, International Coach Federation, Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, Masters Addiction Therapist, NAAE,NAFC. A desert resident for 45 years, Patricia is very active in community service:Guide dogs for the Blind (volunteer psychotherapist/puppy raiser) Board member for Animal Samaritans, Board member for Habitat for Humanity, Board member Dusty Wings, National Chairman for Delta Gamma Fraturnity. Patricia's philosophy is reach up, reach out and help make this earth a better place because you were here.....

Introduction
What’s a nice girl like me doing in a Clubhouse like this?
She never intended to become a member of the club. Quite to the contrary she was always there helping her friends, who claimed they got caught behind the club’s door.
Our Wendy is bright charming and dependable. If you need to get the job done, she’s your gal. She is very well liked by others and always there to help lend a helping hand or ear. But she hasn’t been very successful at love relationships in the past.
But, one day, she meets a guy we will call Peter
. At first she finds him somewhat immature and is not terribly attracted to him. However, once she’s been around him for a while, she finds him intriguing, almost in a playful, little boy way
. He teases her, he makes her laugh. She amazingly finds herself having a good time!
He seems to be really nice and friends around him really seem to enjoy his company. He asks for her phone number.
Wendy thinks to herself, He really seems like a great guy. He’s a lot of fun and a good dancer! Oh why not?
But what Wendy doesn’t know is that she is knocking on the Clubhouse door …
