    About this ebook

    Abbey's Story is about a clever, intelligent and pretty, young Basset Hound. She is the second dog member of the family and was acquired from a neighbor who gave her to Steve and Melanie Washer. Abbey's first owners couldn't keep her. Later she is joined by a Brussels Griffon mix and a Toy Poodle mix. Abbey thirsts for Fun, Romping and Excitement. She shows her new owners her mischievousness and gets very creative in the kitchen. Humor is injected throughout the story to entertain the reader whether they are young or older.

    I think I am qualified to have written my two childrens' books due to my Creative Writing ability. I also have always enjoyed English and got A's in English in school. I took English and Creative Writing in college as well. I am also certified at Read West, Albuquerque, NM to teach English as a second language. Read West helps non-English speaking people learn to read and speak English. For two years I taught a young woman how to read and speak English. When I met her she did not know a single word in English. I reside in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. I am married to a kind and wonderful man, Michael Korotky. Together we have 3 dogs and all of them were rescued. I am a self-taught, professional fine art artist. I was fortunate to have been mentored by two great artists for a total of 2 years. My favorite subjects to paint are florals and pets. Along with this I also play piano. Altogether I had piano lessons for 7 years. My favorite music to play is Classical, Ragtime and Hymns. The second Children's book I wrote, titled Abbey's Story, is about our dogs. It is based on actual events this Basset Hound performed while my husband and I were away from our house. Abbey is a clever, intelligent dog with a marvelous sense of smell. She creates her own fun in the absence of her owners. Sometimes Abbey is accompanied by Cobby, our first Basset Hound. The story is written with humor injected to make it funny for both children and adults alike.
