About The Author
Introduction
I wrote this book during a period of my life when I went on a quest for reasons behind all of the dark experiences I had endured—divorcing my husband after our eldest daughter’s death, trying to rebuild my life with my youngest daughter, and experiencing a brain aneurysm that left me paralyzed on the left side of my body. Not only did I feel a need to find purpose for myself, I also wanted to encourage other people to view their dark experiences or rough roads as opportunities and to look for their own sparks within themselves. I can’t find a single experience in which I wasn’t able to find a blessing as the final outcome.
In looking back now, I can say that my daughter’s death was my absolute darkest experience. I do believe in a purpose, and I did receive a spark within myself during that time. I hold the belief that life does have a rhyme and reason for every experience—even death. Loss is never easy to accept. However, if one truly grieves and is open to finding peace within, he or she will achieve it.
I spent several years in darkness or murky experiences. However, I found that I was never left without a spark—hope. It is both a desire to move forward and have a feeling of purpose.
I’m certain that nothing in this world happens by accident. This is a belief, not simply words on paper. Victims choose to be victims. Every person is born with free will. In my opinion, free will provides options for viewing every experience that comes along.
All of my circumstances have led to my own personal growth and an internal peace and feeling of well-being. I think the key to this peace is that I listened to the spark within (my inner voice), and I was able to overcome fear through my dark experiences.
I hope that,
