    Nathalie lives in South Africa with her wife, 6 rescued dogs and 5 rescued cats. She has been writing since she was in the second grade, and to this day loves writing about a wide array of topics.       Introduction

      This is the revised version of this book which was first published n 2012, I felt it needed to be updated and revised with more up to date information. One of my beliefs about everything, including my Wiccan beliefs, is that everything evolves with us as we grow as individuals, and now looking at twenty years as a practitioner of Wicca, I thought it was an ideal time to give this very short book a bit of a facelift.

      I am frequently asked the question How do I become Wiccan? and after thinking about it, I decided to write this book as a guide to hopefully help those looking for an answer.

      Although it is a simple question, the answer however is not. There are so many aspects to look at when deciding on a new religious path in one’s life, and I feel that you have to truly understand where you are going before you even begin any initiation or studies within the Craft.

      First and foremost, do your homework. Research the subject and try to speak to other Wiccans and Pagans, from as many paths as possible (of which there are many, many to choose from), and ask them all the questions you can possibly think of. Learn as much as possible, Wicca is not all rainbows and spells, it is a real and serious religion and an important life choice.

      If you decide to continue forward and become Wiccan, then comes the most exciting part to your new life path, studying and learning the Craft. Although at first you may be learning all the necessaries from understanding the Wiccan Rede, to celebrating the eight Sabbats, in a way your study of the Craft will never end and it will evolve and grow with you as you do over the years.

      As you start, however, there are a number of choices to be made. You can decide to join a group or Coven, or be a solitary witch. You can take an official Pagan or Wicca course, which is offered by many people around the world, or you can buy and study as many books as possible, in your own time. Once you open yourself to learning, the options are unlimited.

      Before we begin with this book, I just want to cover with you what this book is all about.

      This book is not:

      A course on Wicca or any form of Paganism or esoteric practices

      A book on the history of Wicca or Paganism

      A spell book

      What this book is:

      A spiritual guide – helping you to understand yourself on a spiritual level

      A study guide that you can use as you start on your new path

      Or you can use it as a guide to work through to help you to decide whether or not Wicca is the path for you.

      Use this book and it’s exercises to help you to develop and grow as you discover your spiritual self. I recommend briefly reading through the book before beginning to work through it, this will help you to understand what it is that you are committing yourself to.
