Summary

In part 4 or this modern-day urban thriller: The SIGNAL by Joe KING, Ava, Rebecca and the Major have returned from their adventure to Planet X, but Ava had miscalculated how the Earth should have been when they return. Climate change has been ravaging the planet and worse. The human population has declined to such an extent that they no longer can be trusted. Austerity has taken hold and the worlds resources have become scarce. Anarchy now rules the land and a lawless society reins over ever town and city.

John and Lacey have been spared much of the changes, but a when planned weekend for their sons, Joshua and Thomas to visit has not materialised, they too must decide. Should they stay as their small holding shrives into a dust bowl as climate has become so erratic with times of server drought and temperatures have hit that no plant can survive, or should they now leave to find their sons and head north for a better place to try to rebuild what they have lost?

As Rebecca's life unfolds, she realises something is wrong, very wrong. Coming back to Earth now seems like a bad idea and with everything going bad, her revelations comes in the form a dog name Elsa, and then the true nightmare she is now in begins. Will Ava be able to correct the Nexus point in time that Rebecca has unknowingly crossed and changed the future? Or is the entire planet destined to be destroyed by something more powerful than even Ava could have calculated in her virtual world of computer coding and meticulous planning?
