About this ebook

Idaho is home to some incredibly beautiful mountains, scenic hills, and sagebrush covered desert. It is also home to the Bigfoot.
Are they intimidating or friendly? How big are they really? What do they sound like? Read the book and find out for yourself.
“He was huge, hairy, and scary and I peed my pants.”
“We could smell a sudden stench like nothing I have ever smelled before or since – absolutely rank. It was very overpowering.”
“It looked like a big bush, except I don’t have a bush in my yard. Then it stood up. It was HUGE, black, and very fast.”
“I came down over the ridge and saw this Bigfoot, standing in a Juniper tree, scratching his back.”
“It was a long, raspy scream. It was repeated over and over - very guttural with a lot of volume.”
“There is no misidentification. I was too close.”

My purpose in writing this book isn’t to prove or disprove the existence of Bigfoot, but rather to offer graphic evidence in the form of eyewitness stories that they exist for those who choose to believe.

Many folks I talk to have said that the whole Bigfoot phenomenon is a hoax, that there can’t possibly be a Bigfoot as there isn’t any tangible evidence. I know otherwise; that there have been visual sightings by reputable, honest, sober folks and there is corroborating evidence – footprints, vocal samples, and hair samples.

For those who have had their own sightings – you don’t need more proof, you already know. It is incredibly amazing to have validation of an otherwise unusual experience though, and that is what this book offers.

For those who want to know more – there are websites devoted to the compilation of data – footprints, pictures, sounds and hair samples. This book just offers additional information.

For those of you who choose not to believe – what are you doing reading this book?

If we all are crazy then you just joined the ranks.

Welcome to the land of Bigfoot Believers!

    Chapter 1

In my first book, Bigfoot Lives in Idaho, I told the story that started my collection of Bigfoot stories. Since that time I have had other experiences as I have further explored the Bigfoot world. It is fascinating to me and to others, to see inside a world that is similar to ours yet different in many aspects.

    Palisades

When my family goes camping we play in the river most of the day, eat a lot of meals cooked over a fire in a Dutch oven, and later in the day we read out loud.

On one particular camping trip I was reading our current favorite book until almost midnight when my voice started to crack and I realized it was time to quit for the night and go to sleep. I encouraged the family to go to bed and made sure everything was taken care of for the night and then crawled into my own tent. I was just settling down well when I heard something outside the tent near the picnic table. I realized then that I had neglected to take care of the vegetable peelings from our last Dutch oven meal and was seriously kicking myself, thinking that my actions had most likely attracted some unwanted attention from the animal population.

I carefully unzipped the tent zipper and peered outside to the area near the picnic table where I saw what I first supposed must be a skunk or badger. It had a darker body with a lighter colored stripe down its back and it was bent over the scraps so my mind drew the conclusion – badger or skunk. That would have been a safe conclusion except for the fact that the back of it was even with the top of the picnic table, and it was indeed bent over just as we would bend over to pick something up off the ground.

Looking back, I am not sure what got into me but I yelled, What are you doing in our camp? and immediately the Bigfoot (and I am positive this is what it was) took off. He put one fist down on the ground like a linebacker and just started running from that position, making three full strides before he was lost in the woods around camp.

When situations like this happen and we see or experience things that don’t quite match up with any other experience we have yet categorized in our brain, we tend to stash it away inside somewhere - it just doesn’t make sense, so we either don’t think about it or we disregard it.
