Even the strength

Of the perpetual big city gray

Can’t dim the light you give

The February buds

Might still be destined

For a frosty death

The miles that race past

Are stopped like from a magnet

By my longing for you

Big city dusk

Gray turns to black

Alcohol brings colour

Reminiscing, trading old stories

Like old war veterans

Backstage importance

Loud, louder, loudest

A contest of pain

The most ringing ears wins
