    Doctor operated on wrong eye, patient's lawsuit alleges

    CHICAGO - A Chicago Ridge, Ill., ophthalmologist operated on the wrong eye of a patient and then tried to fix the mistake by operating on the correct eye without proper anesthesia, the patient alleges in lawsuit filed this week in Cook County Circuit Court.
