Chloe Harper is determined to make the best of her annual beach vacation to Mustang Island with her twin teenage daughters.  Being a single mom wasn't easy and didn't leave much time for dating, even if she could find someone who checked all her boxes.

The twins had plans. They wanted to set Chloe up with the sexy neighbor, Simon Stoika, staying at the condo next door. They just happened to meet his daughter and the three girls decided their parents would be perfect together.

They might be right.

Simon liked Chloe right off, and the spark of desire between flared bright from the moment they touched.  Maybe, just maybe, there might just be room for a steamy summer romance.

Author's Note:

At sixteen, they wavered between the silliness of childhood and the maturity of adulthood with lightning-quick flips. With their heads tilted together, Chloe admired the inky black hair they shared with their dad. Sam had hers swept up in a ponytail today, while Alexandra’s short locks blew free in the absence of her usual ballcap.

Alex leaned backward to yell, Moooom! Oh, you’re here.

I’m deaf now, Chloe complained as she joined them at the rail. What am I looking at? She leaned over to take in the view of the beach and the narrow, two-lane road separating the condominiums they were staying in from the ocean. They’d been coming here since the girls were babies. Divorcing their dad three years ago hadn’t stopped the trips; it had just made them a little more complicated.

That, Alex insisted with a jerk of her chin.

Sam rolled her eyes. Seriously? Mom, the last date you went on was six months ago.

Chloe did not need the reminder. Finding someone to date while raising kids and holding down a full-time job tended
