About this ebook

Our escape from this three-dimensional temporal world is calling us. It's a reality that cannot be confined within the four walls of the church. This reality violently presses through and against our four walls, inviting us into a realm of perception.

And here, our attention laid at the once bleeding Feet, is captivated by a beauty that surpasses all else. Mystified at the personification of Beauty, our eyes become illuminated, and Beauty Himself gazes at us. He pours out every ounce of His attention upon our being. His gaze is intoxicating; His smile so rich with life that it conquers the Adam within us. His light - such warmth - it turns our winters into summer, clears our gloomy grey skies, and imparts color to us.

Who is this One, lovelier than all we have and could ever lay our eyes upon? Who is this One, whom even the word Beautiful is inadequate to describe? He is our Beautiful Jesus.

    ABOUT MICHAEL

    FOREWORD

Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me. But he was sad at this word, and went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.

    (Mark 10:21-22)

Afew verses before the above passage, we see a man running to Jesus, kneeling before Him, and asking Him what He must do to inherit eternal life. At first, this appears to be a truly righteous man who has heard about Jesus and desires nothing else but Jesus. But he has one problem; he has great possessions. The man, whose name we may never know, asks Jesus for eternal life, and Jesus offers it to him, requiring him to give up that which he did not need in the first place. Instead of forsaking all and following Jesus, he walks away sorrowful.

Jesus is prepared to give this man what he is asking for, so why in the world is he walking away sorrowful? Well, the Bible says because he had great possessions. However, I submit to you that this man’s sorrow was not just rooted in having great possessions, but that these great possessions had him. His possessions possessed him.

What I would like to emphasize before you dive into this masterpiece is this: The Bible says, then Jesus, looking at him, loved him. For years, I read that as, then Jesus, looked at him lovingly, and while we can imagine the loving look on Jesus’s face, I can assure you that this look was much more profound than a loving look. The reason I say this is because I have seen this look on Jesus’s face as Mark describes.

In 2018, I had an extraordinary encounter with Jesus. When He appeared to me, He had the cheesiest grin on His face. He was grinning so hard that I thought at any moment, He was about to burst out laughing at me. There were such love and delight upon His face. He never said a word in this encounter, yet He spoke. He spoke with His face. You see, Jesus wears His heart on His face, and when He looks at you, you know exactly how He feels and what He means.

As the encounter began to subside, and I could no longer see His Person, He led me to the passage in Mark that we examined previously, Jesus looking at Him, loved Him.

Ah! Yes! I understand now, Lord! Jesus was not merely looking at Him lovingly, He loved Him with His looking! The attention that Jesus gave to this rich man only needed to be reciprocated by this rich man. At that moment, I understood something so precious about encounters with Jesus. You can read every scripture on the Love of God; you can download and listen to every theological explanation of the depths of the Love of God; you can even pray for a divine revelation of the Love of God, but until you see the Face of Love Himself, your understanding is ever limited!

In Beautiful Jesus, Michael not only invites you into the experience of the Face of Jesus but by the Holy Spirit, he has partnered with the Father in releasing a strong impartation to experience a face to face relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. If you think this book is for Prophets, think again; if you think this book is for Apostles, think again; if you think this book is for seasoned Christians only, think again! This book is for the rich man in you with great possessions. If you choose to walk with the Lord through the activations after each chapter of this book, you will find ease. The illusions of possessing a powerful prayer life will eventually dissipate. You become possessed with the Point of prayer Himself — the Pearl of great price; the Treasure hidden in the field; Jesus Himself. Prepare to disappear in His beauty.
