No Bake Cookies - Martha Stephenson

Cookies are probably the oldest type of desserts known to the human kind. Small rounds of dough, made with fruits and/or honey are known since the 7th century with origins from Persia (today - Iran). The basics of cookie preparation has held from those Ancient times; the cookies are representing a single-serving finger food, usually made with flour or nut flour, containing some kind of sweetener (honey, maple syrup, and sugar starting from the modern age) and also in the form of dried fruits, cacao, and chocolate.

Each country has its own version of cookies, but the most popular one are Chocolate Chip cookies, which are an American staple.

Cookies are known by its various names, but the term cookies as we know it today comes from the Dutch word keokje, which means a little cakes.

Whatever you call them, the cookies are little cakes, or as we like to call them a little bits of heaven.

Cookies actually represent baked dough made with different ingredients, but clever pastry chefs have created even tastier and simpler version of classic cookies – No Bake Cookies. The No bake Cookies taste like classic cookies, but are fresh, chewy, and most importantly they are ready in no time.
