■ DB CARGO: There were more movements of WIA (UIC code Sefoorss) five-unit car carriers into DBC’s Stoke workshops in October. On the 7th it was the turn of No. 85 70 4971 031-5 to visit the Potteries for an overhaul, the Arbel Fauvet-built wagon being swapped for No. 85 70 4971 009-1, which was returned to Arpley and back into service. Just shy of two weeks later No. 85 70 4971 031-5 was giving its marching orders, being replaced by No. 85 70 4971 038-0 which had arrived
