    Navaratri is an auspicious time

    THERE are nine magical days and nights to get physical, mental and spiritual strength and rejuvenation with certainty – this is during the period of Navaratri, from October 17 to 24.

    There are two Navaratris that occur annually. The first Navaratri is known as Chaitra Navaratri which occurs during the months of March or April, and the other falls in the month of September or October and this is known as Shardiya Navaratri.

    This year, Shardiya Navaratri will last for eight days and not nine in South Africa, from Saturday.
