Margery Cuyler
Margery Cuyler is the author of many books for children, including The Little Dump Truck, The Little School Bus, The Little Fire Truck, and That’s Good! That’s Bad!The idea for That’s Good! That’s Bad! was inspired by a conversation with her young son, Thomas, who asked, "Can't bad things change into good things?" The vehicle series was inspired by both her young sons who never tired of playing with cars, trucks, and trains. Margery Cuyler's children have since grown up, so these days much of her inspiration comes from the children she meets on school visits. She and her husband recently moved to Lawrenceville, N.J.

Reviews for The Little Fire Truck

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The Little Fire Truck, driven by firefighter Jill, relays a day in the life -- including a big fire that needs to be put out. This is a really cute book, with illustrations that are child friendly without being overly cartoony. The text is also simplistic enough to be understood by little ones but with accurate and detailed information, especially regarding the tools used by firefighters. My one tiny quibble is that it is a bit on the long side, so some of the youngest readers/listeners might get a little antsy before the end of it. Still, I think the rhyming text and colorful pictures should be enough to make this one a hit.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Great rhythm and rhyme!!
