About this ebook
Summer is here and that means big life changes for the two young mates…
Destin
While I've settled into a pretty good routine in these last months, between work, classes and spending time with Seb, I know that his life has been one big rollercoaster.
But with his final essays and exams now behind him and summer ahead of us, things should become a little easier for a while, a very short while, hopefully. Because our baby will be born soon, throwing our lives for another loop.
Are we ready?
Seb
It feels like everything that has happened in the last nine months has been leading up to this moment. As the summer heat gets worse, I'm packing up my stuff at the apartment I share with Mia, leaving my student life behind me and starting my life as an adult.
Finally really moving in with Destin is exciting, no longer having to spend any nights apart, but it also means that my pregnancy is coming to an end, our little boy will be born soon.
I'm not sure I'm ready yet. I'm not sure I'm ready for that next step yet, become a parent, but there's not really a way to avoid it either. There's no going back. These things are happening and will happen, no matter if I want them to or not.
Luckily, I've got Destin and our families to help out. Now, I just have to convince myself that I'm ready.
Is anyone ever ready?
This is the ninth novella about Alpha Destin and Omega Seb in the Blossoming of Fate serial, which takes place in the non-shifter Omegaverse Mates World and contains mpreg (male-pregnancy).

Chapter One
SEB
These last months of the school year, the last months of my pregnancy, have been quite eventful.
After the public event I did with our parents, everyone of course knew me, so even more people than before would suddenly start to talk to me.
Most of the time, I was fine with it, but sometimes... Sometimes people weren’t very nice and those times have been pretty rough. But as the year is now over and I’m moving away, I don’t think I’m going to miss all those questions, good or not.
I’ll miss my friends here and going to classes and things like that, but I don’t think I’ll be missing the intrusive questions any time soon.
I let out a long breath as I fan myself. It’s hot, way too hot today. I didn’t really think much of it at first, being heavily pregnant during the summer, but it’s definitely no fun, no fun at all. I’m hot, sticky, and it’s hard to move.
How does anyone deal with being pregnant in the middle of summer? I’ve not been comfortable in weeks.
Destin comes over, holding out a glass of water with ice cubes and hands it to me. For my beautiful husband.
He grins and winks.
I roll my eyes at him, smiling. What did you do?
Because I don’t trust that smile at all. That’s his ‘if I’m nice, then maybe he won’t ask questions’ smile.
Nothing?
He glances behind me and I follow his gaze.
In the doorway to my bedroom, Dan is holding up some curtains and they look... Not exactly whole anymore.
Great...
I should have packed my stuff myself.
I push off the couch as I give Destin and Dan a levelled look.
No.
Destin quickly follows me. You’re uncomfortable enough as it is. You don’t need to worry about things like this. Really.
I take the curtains from Dan and notice that there’s a rip in the fabric where it’s supposed to hang from the ceiling. How did this happen?
Dan pulls a face. We... Ehhh... We were taking it off, but then we also noticed that we were getting in each other’s way and then...
He sighs. "We both leaned on the curtain as we were trying to take it off
