a course from Scribd. Thank you for joining me.
Let's start by playing a game! For the next few minutes, imagine yourself waking up in the morning and, in those first moments, feeling a tingle of excitement as your day begins. You're excited because you feel the pull of purpose drawing you out of bed and guiding you through your day. You enthusiastically get out of bed and feel energized by the possibility. Guess what? This does not have to be a fantasy. You can know your purpose and be excited by it. That is what this course will help you figure out.
Let me guess; you are listening to this course because you've probably made a bunch of random choices that left you feeling dissatisfied, dispassionate, and like you’re just going through the motions of living. You feel completely stuck and have no idea where to begin. I get it! It took me years of feeling miserable and depressed. It took finding myself drunk and lying under the dining room table, having conversations with my dog on several occasions, before I started doing the work of finding my purpose.
However, the first thing you need to do before you can create a purpose-filled life is to gain some clarity — you must have clarity around purpose before you can uncover limiting beliefs pertaining to your purpose.
Your first step to gaining clarity is actually to take a step backward in time and consider your childhood influences or conditioning. Your childhood influences are the people and/or things that guided or conditioned the formation of your primary belief system. And, it’s your primary belief system that can keep you stuck and hinder your clarity. Too often, we believe we can’t do something based on a belief system we’ve never thought to question or even explore.
You need to work hard on exploring your influences and conditioning. Your conditioning could come from parents, siblings, teachers,
