About this ebook

Just finished watching Tim Burton's TV series about the charming Wednesday Addams and want to revisit it with the book as well?

You're in the right place!

After making a series of disasters at school, teenager Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) is sent off to boarding school. Not just any boarding school, but Nevermore Academy.

Also attended at the time by Dad Gomez and Mom Morticia.

Being different among the different is not easy for the little girl, who does everything she can to escape.

But when a series of unexplained deaths seems to involve her firsthand, Wednesday is determined to get to the bottom. The supernatural serial killer has something to do with her. But when mermaids, werewolves, and vampires surround you, it's hard to pick just one suspect.

Unless the culprit is one of the "normal" residents of the small town of Jericho, where Nevermore is located...

The book contains a recap of all series episodes, the plot, the cast, a personal review, and trivia about where it was filmed.

WHERE WAS FILMED

THERE WILL BE A SECOND SEASON?

THE PLOT

There are eight episodes in the first season of Wednesday, a Netflix series shaped by the gothic and skillful hand of the famous director Tim Burton and which sees the youngest of the family unit, the famous Wednesday precisely (played by Jenna Ortega), grappling with the true horror dramas of adolescence and high school, obviously experienced in the macabre shoes of a rather special little girl.

The Nevermore Academy is, in fact, a special school for kids with peculiar characteristics: vampires and werewolves, mermaids, and witches. Here, Wednesday will have to deal with solving dark mysteries related to the school and her own family, all while trying to adapt to her new life: among the strange ones, she is the outcast. In the series, therefore, there is also much talk of loneliness.

TV SERIES EPISODE RECAP

1.  Wednesday’s Child is Full of Woe

The first segment of Wednesday's broadcast opens with Nancy Reagan High School pupils showing up for class.

One of those pupils is Wednesday, who learns that his younger brother Pugsley is a target of bullying. He was locked in his locker by bullies, who also stuck an apple in his mouth.

He sees what the bullies have done as he releases him from the ropes and heads out to confront them. The two bags of red-bellied piranhas are released into the school pool when Wednesday discovers them there.

The piranhas start attacking the lads in the water as he watches with sheer curiosity and delight.

The following scene opens with Wednesday being driven by her parents to Nevermore, and she appears to be less than delighted about it.

Her parents try to reassure her that Nevermore, which they believe to be the ideal school for her, is something she will like.

Wednesday believes they are sending her to the institution to fulfill some sort of legacy they have left there.

(Her parents first met and fell in love while attending the same school.)
