Previously served as Director of Youth MOVE National, subsidiary of the National Federation of Families for Children's Mental Health. Also have work experience in youth violence prevention and wraparound services in the systems of care model.
Areas of focus include child and youth mental health advocacy, youth engagement and empowerment, cultural competence, violence prevention & intervention, developing youth groups & organizations, recovery & substance use disorder advocacy, homeless populations and developmental disabilities.
I have direct lived experience as a mental health consumer & family member, recovery services consumer, domestic violence survivor, eating disorders, and parent of two children with a developmental disabilities and mental health diagnoses. BS in Family Studies and a MBA from the University of Maryland. Born in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan.
