There are 22 counties in the state of Georgia that have a population between 25, 000 and 35,000. Of those 22 counties, 20 reported crime statistics to the FBI. Violent crimes are defined as Murder/Manslaughter, Forcible Rape, Robbery and Aggravated Assault. Oconee County (99) reported the third highest incidents of Violent Crime violent crime. Only Madison County (159) and Haralson 12 County (111) reported a higher number of violent crimes.

Using those same counties we will look at property crime reported for 2010. Property crime is defined as being Burglary, Larceny-Theft, Motor Vehicle Theft and Arson. Oconee County (531) reported the fourth highest incidents of property crime. Only Madison (723), Stephens (597) and Jones (533) Counties reported Crime number of property Property a higher 12 crime.
