July 9,2012 The Honorable Andrew M.

Cuomo Governor of New York State NYS State Capitol Building Albany, NY 12224

Dear Governor: I am writing to you as Abbot of the Friars Club in support of the RH Land Development project "The Friars Comedy Hall of Fame @ Rock Hill Town Center", The club has entered into a working agreement to lend our name and operate the Friars Comedy Hall of Fame as part of a multifaceted tourist destination project, When fully completed The Comedy Hall of Fame @ Rock Hill TO"1111 Center will have a dramatic and transformative impact in the Catskills region and in New York State. This extraordinary investment will leverage the regions outstanding natural resources, reinvigorate and stagnant local economy and will be a catalyst for small themed entrepreneurs, service providers and future related investment. 1'!1e Catskills have historically been a tourist destination, yet the need for significant new investment and a universal draw makes the timing of this project ideal. Moreover, the State of New York must be an integral partner as the size and scope of the project will inevitably draw hundreds of thousands patrons from throughout the country and beyond bringing much needed tourist dollars back to New York State. In fact, it's projected that close to 1 million additional visitors annually will visit the region as a result of this additional investment. Regional assets such as Stewart Airport, shopping/dining venues, the Bethel Center for the Arts and the many recreational destinations will be positively affected. The members of the Friars Club have long sought a home to display om archives, celebrate their historic value and educate the general public about the storied past of entertainers that have brought laughter, good cheer and comic relief to most of the

country and parts of the world for over a hundred years. RH Land Development's vision to house the Comedy Hall of Fame in New York State and the Catskills, in particular, makes the most sense, since so many members and founders of the Friars began their careers there. From the late George Burns to Jerry Lewis and beyond, countless comedians and eventual Friars members can trace their beginnings in the Catskills, making it the most appropriate location for such a grand project. RH Land Development is seeking a private/public partnership through the Empire State Development CFA funding request. I ask that you look favorably upon this request, as this investment and this game changing project will be an extraordinary catalyst tor future investment in the Catskills region and ultimately New York State.
