Dear Dr. Christensen-Dalsgaard and Dr. Kai Finster,

At present, I am preparing for my PhD defense at the University of Szeged, Department of Biotechnology. The estimated graduation date is December 2011. I have been working under the supervision of Dr. Gábor Rákhely and Prof. Kornél L. Kovács. My PhD project focused on the connection between polyhydroxi-alkanoates (PHAs) and hydrogen metabolism in a purple sulfur phototrophic bacterium.

My previous research and teaching responsibilities have afforded me the opportunity to develop effective team work strategies, good communication skills, an aptitude for problem solving, and the ability to autonomously lead scientific research projects. I have also realized that many of the skills I acquired by being involved in positions such as a nurse in an Intensive Care Unit or a summer student enabled me to have a broader perspective on complex problems in Biology. Being involved in several research projects dealing with phototrophic bacteria, bacterial storage materials, proteomics, biogas, apoptosis, hydrogenase, I had the opportunity to acquire a vast knowledge and specific skills in various areas of biology. I have some experience in RNA manipulation.

My objective is to pursue a career in the field of Microbiology and I feel motivated in building on my existing skills and further develop them by getting involved in either new or ongoing research projects.

Péter Maróy (P. I am planning to create an integrative international work environment. Thank you very much for your time and consideration. Kovács (kornel@brc. Prof. and Prof. Enclosed is my curriculum vitae and publication list for yours close review. András Fülöp . I would greatly appreciate if you provided me with the opportunity to join your team as a research fellow.I would like to extend my research interest outside Hungary. Kornél L. kindly agreed to provide detailed information about my qualifications and my scientific progress (detailed addresses at the end of my CV).Maroy@bio. I look forward to hearing from you soon. by keeping my present connections and collaborations. If you would like to enquire information about my professional achievements.
