S.M.A.R.T. Goal Planning S-“Specific”: Your goal answers “who, what, when, where, why, and which”.

Everyone will understand your goal after reading it; it is concise. Ex: I want to become a high school math teacher  M-“Measureable”: Your goal must be measurable. You can check if you have met your goal or not. Ex: I want to average a “B” for the semester. A-“Attainable”: As you set these goals you will gain new skills and drive to reach them. You will take action steps along the way to reach your goal. Ex: I want to become an active member in 2 extra curricular clubs or activities. R-“Realistic”: Pick a goal that is realistic for yourself. You want to be able to real your goal so pick something you want to do and believe you have the capability to do. Ex: I want to become a veterinarian because I like working with animals and I am good at science. T-“Timely”: Set a timeline to reach your goal. Have a deadline. Ex: I want to have a GPA of 3.6 when I graduate high school in 2015.
