TURN IN THE ROAD
Reversing - Observations (mainly backwards). Moving off at an angle. Explain Clutch Control? Explain what the camber of a road is.

Turn the car around safely using forward and reverse gears. Discuss the routine and consider safety aspects, followed by a demo if required and then practice under instruction. Be able to turn the car around with less help.

Main Points: WHY PLACE Test/Dead Ends/Wrong Turns Safe/Convenient/Legal Away from pedestrians and children Away from obstructions ie trees, lamp poste etc. Possible (length of vehicle V's width of road) Extra care required - wrong side of the road 360 degree observation inc both blind spots. Look mainly backwards when reversing with frequent looks all round. Other road users - ensure you understand their intent - eye contact CONTROL Very slow using clutch control (brake control - camber) Steering - Fast (limited space). METHOD See Diagram.
