Shaun Mohr 42 Waterford Drive Macarthur Park, Vic 3352 Ms Maree Roache Ripon St Sth, Ballarat, VIC 3350

Dear Ms Roache, I am writing to you in regard to the advertised position for Deputy Principal, St Aloysius Parish School, 2013. I am currently employed at St Columbas Primary school as a 3/4 teacher and Learning Community Coordinator and have just finished a six-week term as Acting Deputy Principal in addition to being the Digital Education Coordinator. Through my various roles at my current and previous schools I have been heavily involved in curriculum development at both the small team and whole school program development. This has been further developed this year with my work as a mentor trialing the new Victorian Institute of Teachings graduate accreditation program and my training in and implementation of a coaching program within my current learning community. As part of my personal development I am a part of this years Catholic Diocese Leadership Program(CDLP) as well as the CEOMs Aspiring to Principalship course. Throughout these courses I have worked to identify many of the key capacities and skills involved in high performance leadership. It has also enabled me to gain significant feedback into my own skills as a leader, giving me a pathway forward to enhance my existing skills as well as develop in other areas. In my current leadership roles I have confirmed my true passion for working with other staff working to build a high performing team environment, one in which members are able to develop their capacities and skills to enhance classroom practice. My work as a coach and mentor this year has given me a wonderful opportunity to regularly observe and reflect on my own and others teaching practice, this has enabled and challenged me to identify best practice in a range of curriculum areas and school/classroom systems. As an educator I am committed to working within a team environment and enjoy the opportunity to share ideas, visions and experiences with my peers. Working in an environment of mutual respect and co-operation between staff, students and parents, I firmly believe that I am capable of bringing a genuine and enthusiastic approach to your school, both from an academic and social perspective. I believe that the combination of qualifications and experience I bring demonstrates that I am more than prepared to adapt to new environments, I embrace the opportunity to utilise the skills and knowledge vital to being a successful classroom teacher and school leader.

Yours sincerely, Shaun Mohr
