To celebrate Virginia Farmers Market Week, we sold raffle tickets for a wonderful Virginia Grown bag of goodies from ALL of our vendors. Congratulations Karie Gilliam, our winner!

It’s Tomato Season! Try out this recipe:
Sweet and Savory Tomato Jam
Ingredients: 3 1/2 pounds tomatoes, coarsely chopped 1 small onion, chopped 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp coriander 1/4 tsp cumin 1/4 cup cider vinegar Juice of 1 lemon Directions: Put all ingredients in a 2-quart pot. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat to a simmer. Cook until thickened to a jam-like consistency, about 3 hours. Transfer to sterilized glass jars and store in refrigerator for up to two weeks, or use a hot-water canning bath for 15 minutes for long-term storage. Makes 1 1/2 pints. Enjoy!
