Since stupas represent the Buddha, they are objects of refuge and pilgrimage. Traditionally, pilgrims prostrate, circumambulate and make offerings at Stupas for short-term goals such as longevity, prosperity, health and the success of an undertaking as well as for the ultimate goal of enlightenment. They are also used to make potent prayers for the sake of others in the world so that they may be free of suffering.

A stupa filled with the four powerful mantras is very powerful. The wind that touches such a stupa and then touches animals or human beings, purifies their negative karma to be born in the lower realms. If the dust from a stupa touches beings, it purifies them.
If one pays respect kneeling before a Buddha Stupa, One will become a heroic and powerful world monarch. One will have an armor with golden emblems. One will become a powerful teacher and take delight in the Buddhas. Whoever joins their palms before a Stupa, Whether with two hands or just one; Whoever just one time bows their body, Or even briefly bends their head; Whoever prostrates or merely says "Buddha" with a distracted mind Whether once or several times Before places where relics are kept, That one will attain supreme enlightenment.
