Procedures for Reading Class

:
1. USE the RED cup if you need assistance, or RAISE your hand. 2. DO not GET up to move about the room. ONE person up at a time. DO NOT get up if there is already one person up. You do not need to get up unless you need a pencil, piece of paper, or to throw something away. 3. Complete your assignment and LEAVE it on your desk. WAIT till I ask you for your paper. Then you will pass your paper to the END of the row, and the TEACHER assistants will pick your paper up. 4. When you are FINSIHED, READ quietly. Please do NOT draw, play with items, talk, or any other activities. READ silently or finish any un-finished work. 5. Please remember to WORK quietly. If you must speak to your partner, WHISPER in their ear. DO not yell out, talk across the table, or write notes/draw pictures. 6. WHEN Ms. Petersen-Andrew is teaching in the front of the room, you are sitting quietly and ENGAGED. You are looking at her, and listening to the skill she is teaching. This is important! 7. When asked a question, give a THUMBS up or THUMBS down to indicate understand. Thumbs up is a YES, I understand! 8. DO not yell out, but wait until you are called upon. Thank you for making READING a pleasurable time in our class. >Love, Ms. Petersen-Andrew
