Jose Orrostieta

Im 23 years old; I was born in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. I am the youngest of 5 siblings. When I was five years old, my mother past away and since my father was away at the time; one of my sisters had to take care of me. She then decided to study in another city in Mexico, so we moved to Chihuahua City at the age of eight years old. So I finished sixth grade at CTM elementary school. Then we moved out of the city. The small town that we moved to was called Sacramento which is about thirty minutes outside Chihuahua City. We were there for two years, during that time I had to ride the bicycle to school every day. That was about two kilometers on the way to school and another two kilometers back home. During that time I was selected to represent my school in a couple of different academic contests at which I achieved first place every time. After the two years, we moved back to the city again and the school that I entered was Esc. Sec. Fed 11 and I was there until 9th grade. For next three years I attended COBACH 4 and that is where I graduated from high school. I started working to pay for my school and such shortly after we had moved back to the city because needed the money. After I graduated from high school I made the decision to continue my studies and enter college. The career I chose was Aerospace Engineering which was a new career in the city. For the first six semesters of college I attended UACH University and as part of the NMSUUACH program the last three semesters will be at NMSU. Before I moved to Las Cruces, I traveled to Guadalajara, Mexico and stayed there for about nine months. Then I went back to Chihuahua to get everything ready to continue with college. So I am now on my 7th

semester and I hope that everything will work out for me to continue for the next three semesters here in New Mexico. I chose the picture with a smiley face and the phrase dont worry, be happy because despite the situation I am at, I always choose to be happy and not to worry. I am a really patient and easy-going person and even when everything turns difficult, at the end, everything works out for our good. So it is better not to worry.
