An Exercise in Aggressive, Non-Partisan Political Activism August 25, 2012 Volume 1, Number 2

This the second report in a series of reports to the Rathbun Client-Landlords. On Friday August 24, 2012 I sent a request to more than 1,250 members of the Pima County bar seeking your legal representation. I already have some responses, however; I expect more responses by the close of business, Tuesday, August 28. From the standpoint of leverage, I believe you are “better off” working with one lawyer, or several. From a practical standpoint, you may be forced to do this in the event one of the lawyers files a “class-action” or Rathbun Realty seeks protection in bankruptcy. Several of you have already retained counsel. That’s “OK.” The names several of you have given me happen to have good reputations among local lawyers I know, and trust. However, please know this: The media is “on the side” of Bette Rathbun, who has spent more than a quarter of a million dollars in advertising in the last year alone. The Tucson media is “market driven.” They don’t care about the plight of the “little guy, if “the little guy” is in conflict with their own vested interests. And in this case protecting Bette Rathbun is very much in the media’s “vested interest.” Be patient, hang in there.
