It is a continuation of the work started by myself in 1988 with the publication of volume one of this series. Following my retirement from Civil Air Patrol in 1995 and two volumes documenting C.A.P. unit insignia, I decided that Colonel Howard would be the one who could continue the series. His many years as both a Cadet and Senior Member, coupled with his interest in and the collecting of Civil Air Patrol insignia, made him a natural choice. Now, after many long hours of work, Colonel Howard's Volume Three is ready. His personal background and dedication are an asset to Civil Air Patrol and the collectors of C.A.P. insignia.
